@Onikage55

On a totally separate note, you have the makings of a hard-to-kill High Elves restricted team for Siege.

Lyssandra, Arbiter, Incarnate & Islin.  Islin needs to be built in Regen with as much HP, Resistance & Defense as you can stack. His passive makes him crazy hard to kill.

I run Arbiter, Fyna, Incarnate & Islin and it typically takes a Galathir to beat me. It is my second most succesful Defense Team, and goes many Sieges w/o being beaten, or even attacked.

I'll definitely try that next siege.

Wasn't able to do it, the speed was too much of an issue even with all that setup. Taras was built too tough. Taras had dec def, my Rotos with 7k Atk and 300% crit dmg did his A3 against him and Taras took less than 10% of his hp in dmg.

A Cardinal-based team did almost work, but Siphi put her to sleep before she could rez.

Sigh... another tie... despite having 5500 points to their 4200 points, again a SINGLE team prevented victory.

Doesn't really feel like a "group effort" when they have a single player doing all the work but I guess that's also a problem in Hydra Clash

I don't think we've had a tie yet.  I guess at higher levels just about everywhere stronghold is beatable.

We either get crushed or doing the crushing since we've finally learned to tank (yes they need to fix this).   We won easily but dropped are ranking to low 2400s.  Siege definitely as the most asinine ranking system possible 😆.

No ties yet here either.  We won our 10th Siege this week, and it was definitely our toughest win yet.  We stopped them at a couple of key chokepoints on Day 1, and then on Day 2 they decided to farm us hard for Victory Point Drops.

If they hadn't decided to tank, I think they could have beaten us.  Some of the teams in their Stronghold were insanely tough, and two of them had over 10 legit Defensive wins.  We didn't take down the last team in their Stronghold until pretty late on Day 2, and did not have enough scrolls left to advance on either Mana Shrine.

They drove our Victory Points up to 3321, so we will probably be out-classed next Siege.

What is "Tanking"? I'm assuming it's like in old arena where you just make a team that can't lose but also can't win, like a extremely difficult to kill team that doesn't actually do much.

Unfortuantely that wasn't the case with the one we ran into, but 6 and 5 star Marichka/Taras was a bit issue

There should be a mercy for Lamasu frags. Like, if you lose 4 sieges in a row, you get a congenialty chest anyway. Or an individual chest you can earn points towards just like in Hydra and Chimera. So that even if you get a string of insane matchups you can still make *some* progress.

This number here is what determines your matchup. By losing your initial battle then winning a rematch u net 0 pts.  Once the victory is in hand you can tank all your battles.... we won big but pushed our rank down slightly... that is just terrible.  I can explain further if necessary.

actually this explains a lot if I'm understanding correctly. In the 2 sieges we "tied" the other clan also left one team alive on our side that I know they could have defeated, so I'm wondering if that is similar to tanking? Tieing migth get you a better matchup in the next siege?

Are *you* saying that it's poor game design that allows players to manipulate the matchmaking process to gain an advantage for next time?

@Onikage55 This is the example of it that I posted last month.  In this instance, the player lost two fights intentionally, and then won, so that our team was defeated and our clan was forced to gain +6 Victory Points, while they received -6 Victory Points and got the win. This rank sytem is crazy stupid.

In this past Siege, our opponent decided to not pursue the win and just left us to fight their defenses while they burned all their scrolls to farm Victory Point Drops (called tanking).  I have a very strong Nyresan Team that picked up a handful of solid wins on the first day, then when they decided to lose intentionally, they threw all kinds of garbage teams at it, and that team had over 30 Defensive, but probably 2/3 (or more) of them were intentional losses.  That one post allowed them to shed over 180 rank points and forced us up by over 180 rank points.  They did the same thing to two other posts as well.

OH ok so they're burning rebattle scrolls to make their performance look worse than it was... weird, I thought the matching was just based on Win/Loss record but now what Moored has been experiencing makes more sense

I'm thrilled to say my guys won this weeks siege. It was a close fight and and pretty fair matchup imo.

They had 1 super team in thier stronghold, took everythign I could throw at it, came close once. But then one of my guys had a crazy lucky rng streak and managed to eke out the win

The match-making is based completely on the ranking points (Victory Points). In the pic that Trips posted above, his clan is at 2420 after this Siege, which is relatively low in T6, and he says they have been actively tanking their Victory Points.

After this Siege, my clan is at 3321, so we are almost guaranteed to face an opponent that will crush us next time.

If you open the Battle Report and click on the "I" by your Tier Level it will show your Victory Points.

Correct.  Our ranking dropped about 50 pts despite winning the siege by 3000.... I hope it's clear that I think it should be fixed, not gloating about taking advantage of the system.  Just publicizing how ridiculous it is.

Maybe if people focused on complaining about things that are actually broken, instead of crying wolf over live arena and such....

So the tactic is only win with rebattle scrolls?  You win seige if you beat all their teams, but if you only win with rebattle scrolls your actual ranking will be in the dirt?

More tools for Clan Leaders are in the various pipelines, so you shouldn't have to wait forever.

Agreed that having an active discord and good leadership team is how my cluster eliminates most of these communication issues.

@dthorne04 @ShortOnSkillz

Is there any word on the Siege Communication & Management tools that @harleQuinn said were being worked on back in November?
