Suggestions and Feedback
First of all, feedback: I have yet to give feedback about this AMAZING game. So, here i go. This game is extremely impressive. When I first found this game I was looking for an online risk game and decided to try this. I have been playing this game ever since. I do not have much money so donating to the game is not something that I do often but I have done in the past and will do again. I have recommended this game to many people and I am currently in the process of getting my grandfather to play this game and Soldier Inc. I am quite sure he will enjoy it because of the fantastic quality but superb simplicity. I also want to let everyone know at Plarium know that all of you did an awesome job on not only the Total Domination trailer, but all the others. The music fits the games really well also. The creativity of the units and their description is amazing. The story of the wasteland is also another reason I love this game. Because of the vast creativity and imagination that at the same time is not unrealistic for the time and age of the game has helped me brainstorm original ideas for my graphic novels and I thank all of you at Plarium for that.
First Suggestion (Crystals): I do understand that an in-game currency in necessary for a free to play game. BUT I do think for people that play this game that do not have much money to spare it would be nice to have cheaper prices on Crystals. Plarium is quite a big company and there is so many people that buy Crystals on a regular basis that I really would doubt the company is going to go broke because of reducing prices just a tad bit. Although, I do have to say, Plarium has done a really good job on the more frequent sales on Crystals. So, here is the summary of my suggestion: I am not going to tell Plarium the percent to reduce the prices on Crystals because I do not have access to statistics on purchases, but I think Plarium should reduce prices for Crystals and decrease the amount of sales they have on them. Therefore the lessening of income will somewhat balance out.
Second Suggestion (Battle Mechanics): So, we all know that how we go about battles is very simple which is good in a way, but I have done some thinking on the possible ways of making the mechanics or game play more enjoyable. I have finally found one. For example, you click on a Quarantine Zone infestation in your radar, but when you click on it you get a page/window that displays a map of the area you are a attacking. There are certain zones where you can attack and deploy troops. Each one of these are named specific titles. The player must take each and every one of these zones to successfully complete the infest. But this change in the battle mechanics would not only be specific just to infests or AI battles, but they could be put into effect also with Deposits and Missions offensive and defensive alike. With each zone taken on the battle map you would get a reward of troops and everything you normally would get after completing a infest (If it is an infest). Some of my ideas for names of the zones that you would have to take over on the battle map are as follows:
- Deployment Zone
- Line of Defense
- Mine Field
- FOB (Forward Operating Base)
- Supply Depot
- Old Military Base
When attacking or defending one of these zones there could be combat bonuses that relate to the name of the zone. Such as: "Deployment Zone" gives a increased evacuation time and deployment time to and from your sector or "Defensive Line" gives a defensive bonus to the defensive player or AI but if taken gives a more valuable amount of troops because of the loss. When finally conquering the whole map you will be given a greater reward because of the time, effort, resources, and troops put into it. This is a little more complicated of mechanics but would add more strategy and fun to the game. And not to mention because of the greater ratio of veterans and hardcore, non-immature players versus younger, non-serious players I do not think making the game more complicated wouldn't hurt, in fact I don't think it would make this game more complicated, but it would make it a more hardcore strategy game!!!
Thanks for reading and maybe considering anything in this post.
