Hello, Silence here. I manage the feedback forum on the official server, and one of my responsibilities there is the collection and forwarding of weekly feedback. With the recent release of mods, I have created a monthly feedback thread on the server, where everyone is welcome to share their feedback with as much detail that they want to go into, and I will compile it all into a single document to be forwarded to plarium on 20th August. 

TL;DR- This is the feedback thread for mods. Post your feedback here and I will forward it, and you will see exactly what I have forwarded. 

I've been lurking in the forums a lot more since mods were released, and I see that you have a lot to say as well. And since not everyone can be on discord, I will be making a similar feedback thread here. This feedback thread will close on 20th August as well, and you are welcome to post your thoughts, inputs and feedback here as much as you want. The goal here is to collect all relevent feedback in a single place instead of it being distributed over twenty different threads, since it will help us make sure that every single person is heard. And I understand that a lot of you are angry and upset over the gameplay being completely changed overnight - I felt the same way when pilots were released. You are justified to feel this way, but I request you to set your feelings aside just this once and provide me feedback that I can work on. You provide me that, and I will make sure that the feedback you put your time and effort into typing is forwarded to Plarium through the Community Managers. Additionally, any questions you have for anything related to mods, you can ask here. Please ping me here, and I will try my best to answer your questions in as much detail as I can, you have my word. 


Closing thoughts: I do not like mods. I like the idea of them, about how they increase the TTK and how they end the dominance of sniper weapons, but I absolutely dislike the monetization scheme that they have and how ridiculous the economy aspect of basic and elite mod parts are. I felt the same way when Pilots were introduced 2.5 years ago, but I lacked a proper channel to convey my disappointnent. That is what I'm trying to do here- establish a proper communication channel that works transparently. Once I compile the feedback, I will post the document here so that you can read what I forwarded to Plarium.

Hello moderator, thank you for establishing this topic, I have a complaint about...well you might not be surprised by this...Mods. but my concern is genuine and not just mindless angry ranting

So I was doing 5v5 with only 2 minutes left, me and my team almost completely wiped out the enemy team- but one zypher with an "epic perimeter shield" mod. I checks the stats, and the max HP of the mod is about 31k, which is not that much.

I and two other mechs spent the remaining 2 minutes absolutely RAINING bullets on this zypher, I have 3 star ember guns, a panther had missile racks, and a guardian with ember guns too. It took 15k out from me and even 22k from the back. I spent 2 minutes shooting that zypher from the back and it just wouldn't give way.

In conclusion It didn't die. Again I'm not mindlessly ranting, I just took the time to explain my situation. Again, thank you for making this feedback :)

Oh and the zephyr was AFK, that's how three mechs got to shoot it for so long

That is indeed peculiar. Would it be possible for you to upload and share a recording of the battle, if you do have it? This is the first time I'm seeing a complaint like this, and a battle recording would go a long, long way in getting it reported to Support, so that they can identify and fix this at the earliest.

This is the first time I've seen anyone remotely associated with plarium reach out on the forum like this. I am glad to see that people who are working with the team are getting more proactive with reaching out to the community and at the very least trying to make us feel heard for a change. Steps in the right direction in that regard.

I think mods are way overtuned though end game players would be better able to say that. I just think an effective 150%+ hp bonus is really excessive, especially given most weapons got no more than 70% additional damage and pilots gave 40% additional hp already. And well yeah we saw the results of that.

 Additionally it's just really lame that it's entirely about durability. We only have one thing in mech arena that affects the mobility of mechs and that's on a freaking limited edition pilot new players can't get. This was a huge missed opportunity to introduce mobility enhancements to mech arena in a more accessible manner.

I kinda disagree on the overtuned part; I feel that mods make less of an impact compared to pilots, but it's been so little time since their launch that I could very well be wrong. We'll have to wait and watch, I suppose. 

As for mods that increase speed....maybe Plarium has plans to release those later, similar to how there was only one legendary pilot during their release and now we have so many more.

Actually the additional DMG is higher than 70%. If you include a Legendary DMG implant it becomes 100% additional DMG. Storm Rack also does extra DMG against shields.

What makes me worried about Mods is the availability of the Mod-parts.

Right now we have a Derby that gives a decent amount, but i'm worried about how it will be after that, if F2P players are going to get enough Parts or not.

I also noticed that damaging the shield or hull of Mods don't gove you a assist which is pretty annoying.

Let's hope that they add mods for increased mobility. Both overall speed boost and decreased sprint cooldown. Wouldn't want to see the opportunity go to waste

Yes, I've noticed this too since the MODs came out. Occasionally there will be a bot or an AFK that just won't die, far more than anything the MOD may have done.

I imagine that it will be like the pilots. You get plenty of free implants and implant parts for free. Not enough for any huge boost, but enough to grind. Then you have the option to just buy them outright.

The biggest change for me with MODs is I can no longer just bulldoze with my Nomad. My first enounter with Nomad was in my first tournament. Some guy was tanking, but he had a Nomad with ember guns and just camped out spawn point, getting 40 kills. I was in awe and knew I needed one. 

That said, I still love my Nomad, and can still get nice kd ratios, I just can't 1 shot everyone. Its more like 3 or 4 shots now, which means manuevering to avoid getting shot in return. The Manuevering makes me a better player for all mech types, so the MODs have forced me to up my game.

You might not believe me, but I didn't need to change my play style AT ALL. I play guardian with ember guns, so the only thing I should be doing is forming up with my team, and that's what I did and have been doing ever since. The weird thing is that one zephyr, I never seen the "perimeter mod" take so much abuse for so long "mind you it was three mechs just letting loose for two minutes straight. The shield didn't even go down that's the silly part, i knew something was up when it was taking most 50k damage from mech and more from my two allies lol.

I just invested in MODs today. Got the multi ring Legendary MOD A, which makes the most sense to me. Got them on my Nomad and Surge using the FREE MOD parts I've been earning all week. Leveled up the Nomad MOD 3x and the Surg MOD 2x. Havent seen a significant difference in how long it takes me to get killed. Having all the MODs legendary and completley leveld up might make a slightly more significant difference, but I'm not optimistic. 

My verdict for now on the MODs is they are at best marginally effective and at worst a nuisance. Wouldnt care either way if they were kept or tossed.

Do you have the "epic perimeter mod"? Because if so, then I suppose the max protection it should give you is about 31k, which isn't a lot but hear me out. Bluefootbill, have you encountered any bots or players that seem to have an impenetrable shield? Cause In my complaint, I encountered a zephyr that did

Okay, it seems weird how I encountered every other mods already, with a variety of levels upgraded, and then that specific mods in that specific match just seemed bugged.
