Plarium says they listened to us and made these changes. Obviously they are NOT listening. I actually like the idea of new permanent skins, but the yielding skin should give a boost to yielding also; mentors gard should boost training speed; killers gard to total offense, not just during onslaughts; gard of souls sounds like it should boost healing time; how about golden gard increase rss production; gard of time should give a boost to reduce time on processes; shaman gard and hunters gard should boost shaman and hero attack respectively; and influence gard should boost knowledge/building speed (and or cost at higher levels). Adding these things would lessen the loss of the old skins.
The newest changes after just one CvC tells everyone that the CvC was not well planned out. And these changes still are not good. If you truly want to improve your game, keep small/part time players in mind.
Also, find some way to get rid of the inactive players. Towns that have been inactive over a year should be removed or make a new comp - Kingdom Purge - where in your own kingdom you can attack these old towns (especially the lvl 1's that were active only one day) and destroy them. Attackers could get rss from buildings destroyed and if the chief of a dead town gets destroyed it opens up that clan's Stronghold for attack where you can get transformed rss. Then if any new players join the game there will be room in older kingdoms and bring life back to them.They said we asked for the changes, I would like to know who, when, where, and how many?
They announced these changes and asked what we thought, many were against them from the outset and they never really explained or answered the questions raised, and as expected went ahead anyway.
Casey, if they hadn't already planned this , you just gave them a future update, that they can sell us.
They are unlikely to get rid of the inactives, and they are not doing any harm, if these inactives have only been played one day, they are not going to be a big source of resources from demolished buildings, and the amount of inactive towns is not going to go very far round the remaining players, and it would probably cost more in porting around and dropping and reshielding than any return .
Finally why would a new player want to go to an old kingdom?

enemy atacked two tiles where i was farming and attacked in both cases my troops of 20k lvl 1 and killed 2*16k troops lvl 1, 80% of the 40k.
in both cases i made 96 lvl 1kills.
enemy got ponts for killing 40k lvl 1, we got points for killing 230 lvl 1. Why you include exact an 20% difference?
32k are 80% (or 100-20%) from 40k and 192 are 80% (or 100-20%) from 230
After this the enemy stopped attacking because he saw the result of fighting actions: the category score changed from 3:3 to 4:4 (at this time no sh actions)
i decided to do no attacks anyway, so everytime the scoring in killing fighters must be 0:0 or 1:1

Very profitable update.
Please rethink the withdrawal of the basic skins. These make a big difference for everyone small players and small clans may not have access to the POP Rep's so loosing 10% boost for builds training and knowledge is a significant loss even the bigger players will loose 10% and if they have a 250wk or more build or knowledge to complete that 10% will have a significant impact. Why have you withdrawn the Skin for winning CvC? that was one of the best rewards for the event. New Skins will now be restricted in performance, available to only those that spend. And to top it off you send out ridiculous Bank offers for a very limited time which is clearly aimed at building massive amounts of troops one off very big builds with boosts to help but guess what No Gold nuggets, No Bronze, No manuscripts No totems, No hero Keys and not even Hero energy so we can try and get items to make equipment to help us grow. I do not think this will enhance the game experience for most people. Please speak to some of the players and or clan chiefs to get a fair reaction to the changes you have made. I'm confidant you will find there is a case for you to re think this and make some fair adjustment.

As I said earlier this has always been the case ... I think because it is by mercy of the game that the game only allows 80% to be killed instead of all of their troops ... I did notice though that what did change was that the loser used to get their exact kills but seems now the loser gets 125% of their kills ... maybe this was to "make it even" with what happens with the winner of the battle ...Peter_Pan_ said:

Because the fact Plarium allows only 100 reports for not spending money for a bigger database, the battle reports are still gone into the nirvana of plarium. So ask plarium to find these reports ;-)
If Plarium is a software engineering factory than they must be able to examine case-scenarios of theree written software. So ask them.
