I am having the same issue with my referral not showing up after sending a link and my daughter downloading it and installing it. That said she has a new "used" phone so I cannot guarantee that the previous owner did not install the game at some point. For her though it was the first time she has installed the game and she used my link.
It should not matter if the game was previously installed as bringing someone back to the game so long as starting over is just as beneficial to Plarium as a new user and the rewards only come when you actually reach milestones anyway. Why is there no way to use a manual code and/or just allow previous installs to count as long as they start back at 0 and work there way up from there.
I also don't see how Plarium thinks that this negative publicity is helping them in any way. Good support is proven to increase sales. Honestly I play Warframe and spend a lot of money not because of the game specifically but to support the incredibly involved devs.
WHAT CAN WE DO TO GET OUR REFERRALS?

I JUST HAD MY DAUGHTER USE THE SAME LINK ON A DIFFERENT DEVICE AND ALL WORKED FINE AND I GOT THE REFERRAL. MUST JUST BE A HIT OR MISS.
Hey Sezzy - if my wife resets her advertising IDs or whatever will I retroactively get her account linked to mine? She got the referral rewards but I never did.

The player that has accepted the invitation link and followed it to install the game has internal anonymizer activated for his/her phone, so we cannot identify the device for connecting it in the system. Also, the issue may be that there are emulators involved (they too, are problematic referral-wise).

Same, referral is not working for me. I should have 3 people in my referral, as I sent it to 3 of my friends who never played the game before, and they used my link and they got some faction rings from me. But Im not getting any reward from them.

Hi, I’ve been looking for help regarding this matter. I have recently started playing and referred my son to play the game. He downloaded the game, got to level 10 and nothing. So I emailed support saying we were not getting the rewards as advertised and I got the same reply...must have downloaded before or had an account.
I explained that this was not possible and sent a screenshot of the link sent to him and also explained that he has to ask permission to download games so I know for a fact that this was a brand new download/account. Any new information would be very helpful, we’re now both level 30s and enjoying the game, just a shame players are not getting what is advertised.

I have the same issue as many others, and have read through this thread.
I find it intriguing that the moderators keep repeating the same thing without actually reading the posts.
Many of the posts clearly say they have never installed the game, which is followed by advice similar to the above.
I don't have any anonymisers, never played the game and know it hasn't been installed on this device as I only bought it a week ago.
I'm sure your tech support are seeing the common issues you mention, but the number of posts that are saying none of those is true must indicate there is a problem.

The phone is new and never had this game installed (or any other).
I am a new player.
I do not have any anonymisers or ad blocking or privacy activated (yet).
Your software has a problem that has existed for nearly 12 months (going by this thread) and continues to advertise referral bonuses.
I'm not going to bother submitting a support request.
Is there a manual fix as my son wants to invite his siblings as well and I have asked him to hold off.
