Well see they have stopped pretending about live seasons being anything more than easy wins for high spenders. Point in case I have just over 400 season points, yet was twice matched with someone with over 900 points, may I add both times they let the counter run down, making the battle long and more tedious than it usually is. Oddly I lost both battles without even getting a turn, so zero understanding why they longed it out so much.
Should take out win 1 live battle from quests, or make it instant defeat when you run counter out.
Why they longed it out:
In all likelyhood, they clicked "find match" and then went afk, confident they'd win against whoever they matched up with.
So much of this. Im all for a harsh punishment for people that afk farm LA.
we all are, but nothing is getting done... im pretty sure that im even facing bots now in live arena... people with random names having exactly same champions and doing same moves in same order 3 times in row is kinda ... too much

You mean without the 3 losses to trigger one? Id be very curious to see the season over season numbers cuz it definitely feels less populated.

I'm definitely only getting bots after 3 losses. The afk is still the only issue I see. Really annoying the high level Fu@%$ that do it expecting u to just quit when u see their champs... I expect it from the low level reddit crew but at 1000+ in season Really misses me

There's a guy top 100 currently with like a 47% WR and I suspect hes doing exactly that.
I was on vacation for 3 weeks over the last season, and spent less time in-game than normal.
My LA activity was down at least 25% compared to all other seasons, yet my position on the General Leaderboard only slipped a couple hundred points, which was a lot fewer than I expected.
That means that my reduced participation was almost on par with overall participation for people ranked equivalently to me or above.
The part that gets me is even the biggest krakens, the top 100 live arena players, of the ones who have YT channels or public discords, even most of them say they dont *like* live arena.
Crypto spends real world cash to get gems, and uses about 1000 a day JUST on live arena refills, and he rarely even plays it himself, he's got *shifts* of clanmates who grind his account *for* him. 12 hours a day, every day, doing nothing but live arena.
Legitimate psychological/ethical question: where do you cross the line from "pay to win" to "exploiting obsessive disorders"?

I don't think any exploitation at all... its all on the individual with the obsession problem when it comes to video games. Just my opinion.
Pay to progress faster is a necessity.

I mean, that's fair; I don't disagree.
Though I do think anyone who spends a hundred thousand dollars on a game should probably spend at least as much on therapy.
Or barring that, just buy me a house and I will make it my full time job to entertain you.

For those with vast disposal wealth its not my business how they spend it. Certainly worse vices.

He's spent a wee bit more than that you know.
