Is autoing the worst of your 3 keys really gonna kill anyone?

Or god forbid, forfeit 1 energy refill... 😆 

I need the energy refill as well as moving towards my lego book.

I have 2 teams that I can let run full auto but scores can have a large range. Also it can take over an hour for that key to go. Thanks to hydra clash I try to get the most damage I can out of keys because even doing 650 mil for top clash chest is not nearly enough.

There is zero excuse for this quest period. 

These are my personal feelings on this as well.

In my mind, the goal should be to get all your hydra teams on full auto. Full stop, period. That way you can just click start and go, like we did for years on CB.

The trick is, as always finding the right speeds and builds that damage is huge and almost the same as manual. Did 15.25 billion this past week on full auto, which was nice. Lots of room to improve ofc, which is the goal the next few weeks with some tweaks and build improvements.

I honestly don't expect this quest to be changed. We went back and forth about it at great length and in great feedback when a big number of people were complaining on discord, back when the advanced quest first came out. Now that it's basically just this thread left, even less pressure to update this. 0_o

if your doing that kind of damage my guess its the brunt of it is vs hard with a certain comp resetting a certain dwarf.

From what Ive seen hydra participation has gone up, by being forced. Seen a bunch leave my clan since we started enforcing hudra participation. I know personally if hydra clash wasnt a thing I would get top chest vs each difficulty and end the run and not give a damn about hydra.

Also I cant take seriously to much of the "felling on these forums nor discord", only bery specific gamers will ever go to either platform and even less voice their opinions on them.

Sure you can gauge what you see/read but only plariumnhas the data and actually knows. I must assume clash is the result of super low participation. Now changing clash as well because it still didnt get them the numbers they are after.

I post on these forums because I enjoy RSL. This quest for myself and every single person I know cant stand it. Aside from the mods here and maybe 2 regular posters who are not a representative of the average level of play in this game.

This quest is absurd and has no place in the game, no anecdotal discord convos is going to change my stance on a very poor decision of adding the quest in the first place.

And there was a big enough backlash that they did "reduce the frequency players will see this quest", which I'm going to say is lies because it lands on me every Wednesday without fail.

Philosophically I am. But I don't really give a shit anymore, my energy is at 130 every morning when I wake up but I make coffee and have a smoke at least before even looking at raid. 

It's liberating to not feel compelled to do anything. It's more important to understand what the optimal strategy is and then to actually fully action it.  Most min maxers don't have the correct formula anyway.  Optimizing nickel gains and throwing away dollars...

It doesn't affect my gameplay in the slightest.

So yeah, let me actually be frank with the rest of the post instead of playing customer service and pretending agreement. 

I'm not pushing to have this changed in any way. There's plenty of other issues in Clash that actually matter that I consider significantly more important. Like Champ Balance, Trunda Teams, Wixwell/Togron Teams, and Matchmaking. 

And the mod team has also been thrown the bone of advanced quest frequency adjustment, and then been told that's it, that the quest won't be removed, so why would I continue to work on it every week in futility? I wouldn't.

Instead, when I was told it wasn't going away, I took the time to go full auto on Brutal, then NM then finally my Trunda team. Frankly it's nice to start the week with my NM key without having to touch it and locking up ±1.5ish billion points. I'm done with top chest and can focus on the big points with my little dwarf lady and her tree friend, Emic.

Now I'm recommending you do the same, make full auto teams. Do yourself the favor of working for a while with speeds, builds, and AI instructions to get yourself a well oiled team with good skill usage that will free you from whatever manual prison you've somehow convinced yourself is necessary to score well. You can mostly hit 90%+ optimal keys with auto if you spend time and care on it. And my best key ever was a full auto one I didn't even watch, while I still thought I needed to manual those big keys, cause RNG is silly. 

If you do this, you can ignore the advanced quest, and more than that, you'll save such huge amounts of time overall, in your real life, that you'll thank me one day.

Free yourself from manual keys. Live the auto cozy life.

I never touch the game until my morning coffee break at the earliest, often it waits until lunch. Today was a quick coffee break this afternoon in place of lunch when I first opened it. Seems to not halt my progress any, even if the rest of the mod team is on 247 trying to fully optimize every single little thing.

Only my erstwhile friend @ShortOnSkillz beat me to Marius on the mod team. Forever to my great shame, or would be if it actually mattered. (Actually was nice to see the week or two of testing he did and then get a head start on builds from him 😆)

I don't hide my teams or anything. And I worked hard to gear Trunda, buy her soul step by step from 1 though 4, and speed tune the whole thing with trial and error to make it work without the double Yumeko reset.

I can't get to those insane damage teams either, not even with my absolute best damage gear, not with full bonuses from Live... not only would I want more reset, those crazy teams have 6 star Rend, full empowerment and 400-430+ CD on Trunda. And while one day I might get Rend, today is not that day.

*Also not getting Rend this summer or even 2024, too much essence saving required*

Full auto best method to maintain a semblance of sanity.

That was generally just for something to do.  I like clearly defined goals.

Post Marius soul missions when 

I would like to know what's the devs *current* rationale for keeping it a random daily quest instead of a weekly or monthly 'use x keys', especially since the addition of clash forces participation as much as a daily quest does.

Edit: oh, and also when the announced changes for clash are coming.

I was disappointed but not really surprised that they weren't part of the update with siege.

They think the quest is appropriate, and even necessary. That's the rational. :D

Clash changes are officially quite nebulous and have no promised release date nor any specific alterations promised. 

I at least do know they're testing and have tested a number of things, but I can't get into any of the specifics at all. Have to keep being good and no leaks!! (Sorry 😅)
