Not having the voids to do Narses was the final straw for me to change my play style. I quit pulling for 2X events and began hoarding shards for future guarantee events back in March.
I am up to 142 voids.

The problem is they've got us by the short and curleys that there may be one in the future.
I mean I'll get him either way, since he's half a vault guardian, but ... that's not exactly the most exciting reason to play

No, it really isn't. Even for a newer player it's trash - especially when you consider the resource cost for a newer player is significantly more painful.

We´ve had worse fusions in the past and people still used the champs, youre just used to every fusion being armanz lol. This fusion should be exactly the fun people like you are looking for in game, who can make fun teams with resources they have left over, fuse the champ, level some hounds and show us some results
I am in london for business for the next couple of weeks so i am glad i am not missing anything amazing.
Given the rate of randomly pulled legendaries for myself, which seem to include an amazingly high number of former fusion champs, I would take the risk to skip this fusion because I cannot imagine spending the ressources or time to build up some blue champs to be on his team....

it has been that many times champs were said to be awesome once they are changed/get a partner champ/new content is released....
I do not count on a champ being awesome in the future or with future content anymore. Look at what people said about Ailil, Jingwon, Valkenen etc....they were always hyped to be fantastic ad I never see them anywhere in dungeon teams, City teams or arena teams...
And especially mythical pairings...sorry...but the chances to get even one mythical champ is astromomically low...if I get one..it is fine and I am happy...but to actually get the new one than...much too expensive or way too much luck needed. (and of course, I have double mythicals (2 Mikage's)) So I cannot be baited by 'Possibly, in the future, if some changes are made, and in the new content) this champion might be useful for the 5th of 120 stages omens...

What type of new champ would it need to be, to create a Super Duo?
What in the world is this? Is there some universe where Plarium expects any team, anywhere, to use any of those other champs? Is this Plarium's attempt to say "hey get this guy because you never know, at some point in the future we may add some champs to make him useful, even though we probably won't, at least not intentionally"?
So, ignoring all the nonsense about the paired champs, looking at him alone, he has a pretty weak A1, an absolutely useless A2, an okay A3, and a pretty good passive. Generally speaking I fully expect him to sit in the dustbin.
Hydra. That looks like his main calling.
Michief tank with Taunt and buffs that can't be removed. Ready to work especially well with another ally - possibly the hound with the AoE skill 1 in Provoke, especially as 6* rare souls aren't uncommon - Phantom Touch could work especially well there.
But, clearly there's another champ on their way, possibly a login champ. Not named in this champ's skills, so mention of teaming up will need to be in the new champ's skill description.
Either way, this looks pretty interesting with lots of possibilities.
