Packmaster Shy'ek is a unique type of Champion who thrives when surrounded by his loyal hounds.  As a mighty pack leader, Shy'ek excels at gathering hounds to his side, enhancing his abilities in battle.

He is a versatile Champion, useful in both PvP and PvE content. With Packmaster on your team, new players will be able to utilize hounds for clearing early content more effectively, and seasoned players can experiment in the Arena or form new teams against the Hydra.
Shy'ek's pack consists of Terrorbeast, Goremask, Hound-Spawn, Hellfang, Fellhound, and Stitched Beast. When at least one hound joins him in the battle, his skillset gains additional benefits.

Without his loyal beasts, Shy'ek's A1 has a chance to land a Decrease DEF debuff on the enemy. His A2 allows Packmaster Shy'ek to tank and absorb enemies' damage with the help of Taunt, self-heal, and occasional Shield.
A3 will increase allies' Turn Meter and place Block buffs, so you will find it useful for speed teams in the Arena.

And his Passive will boost the whole team's damage against the target enemy.

When Shy'ek is joined by at least one member of his pack, his A1 additionally commands his hound companions to launch a coordinated attack on the target.

His enhanced A2 will make buffs protected, and Block buffs debuff from his A3 becomes irresistible. Additionally, the hounds will launch a counterattack whenever Packmaster is attacked, further enhancing his passive ability.

By the way, if you're not impressed with his current roster of loyal hounds, just wait—Packmaster Shy'ek is always on the lookout for new members to add to his pack, and who knows what beast will join his side next 😏

What in the world is this? Is there some universe where Plarium expects any team, anywhere, to use any of those other champs? Is this Plarium's attempt to say "hey get this guy because you never know, at some point in the future we may add some champs to make him useful, even though we probably won't, at least not intentionally"?

So, ignoring all the nonsense about the paired champs, looking at him alone, he has a pretty weak A1, an absolutely useless A2, an okay A3, and a pretty good passive. Generally speaking I fully expect him to sit in the dustbin.

I want to like this champ, but wtf plarium are you straight trolling with these terrorbeast and other blue dog champions.....come on remove the pairing garbo and let this guy just be good.

InB4 random champ gets released in 6 months that makes them a broken pair that terrorizes arena for a year.

If that duo is good against narses count me in. Still kicking myself over not having the voids....

Fusion is...weird. Really does feel like a FOMO situation where down the road we'll maybe want but MEH. 

The Hex passive damage enabler could be fun but we've got no AoE attacks for Cursed AND the Hex has to be placed by Packmaster. BLAH.

With his taunt he should be placing a lot of hex. Unless im misunderstanding the abilities.

It's just so utterly unimpressive. It's like - yay, I can place hex on people, and that's ... it. Nothing else useful.

I can't see a world in which I use him unless there's some stupidly strong other champ to pair with.

Definitely can, yeah. I'm just thinking about in a hydra setting where I want to be placing Hex with him on decapitated heads and I can't because reasons. 

The problem is they've got us by the short and curleys that there may be one in the future.

He is rather annoying, at least he's very annoying when it's the duo.

Well, they are basically saying there will be another pairing released, but no idea when, of course.  

Not having the voids to do Narses was the final straw for me to change my play style.  I quit pulling for 2X events and began hoarding shards for future guarantee events back in March.

I am up to 142 voids.
