Plarium will try a lot of things to increase the pvp activity, except speeding up the unit build time.
Plarium wants its players to keep logging in and stay logged in 24/7 so that the website may have a very high hit rating, thus it keeps the build time very slow.
Let's put this into some perspective. Building 1 pikeman takes 5 minutes..... No, let's give the Lost Arts some benefit of doubt and say we somehow managed to shorten the build time down to just 3 minutes per 1 unit of pikeman. The force limit is 250,000. So if I want to max the force limit I will need to build 250,000 pikemen. The time I would need to spend on building them all, assuming I do it non-stop 24/7, will be 250,000 * 3 = 750,000.
One day has 1,440 minutes, so 750,000 minutes would take 520 days to complete!
What if there is no Lost Art bonus? That would take 250,000 * 5 = 1,250,000 minutes or 868 days (more than 2 years) to max out the force limit with pikemen. And that's if we do it 24/7 non-stop with no enemy raiding our castles killing the newly-built pikemen.
So when Plarium sets the force limit to 250,000 requiring at least 2 years to max out, what is Plarium trying to tell us? And if we do it 12 hours a day, every day (because we are jobless and have no life, thus we have the 12 hours time), then it would take us more than 4 years.
Now tell me, what kind of game is this?
It is a game that is fun whether you spend or not but confers advantage to $ players. The slow troop build time and the fact you have to pay to have your troops auto put in cata are intentional; the devs, host, and all the support staff don't work for free (some may be volunteer, but not all).
It would be nice if troop build times were faster; a new tech or allowing higher degree of boost from obelisk would be a help there.
Another improvement I'd like to see is more options to use in bulk. I have over 100 1 paragon point items I'm yet to redeem. Every time I try, the lag is so severe that it takes forever to even redeem 2, yet alone think about redeeming all of them. Shards are same issue. Tons and tons of laggy clicking to level them up. Just let us do it with one click.
Hamlets are too risk free for attackers, especially since there is option to attack without capturing. Take away the auto recall for offense units.
Walls are very expensive; add to that lag and a permanent delete function and you have a recipe for unintentional loss. The people paid for the dang wall; don't steal it with a misclick. I'd suggest the delete just put it in storage and allow you to place it where you want later.
Happy New Year everyone. Hope we'll see positive changes this year.
