You get enough chests from Tower and league brawls. If you know how to open them, then getting a complete set of equipment is fairly easy. 

I didn't say you have to stay low level forever. I said until you have discovered the StoneHeart and have completed upgrades for most buildings. You don't want to be a level 80 player who is asking for Heraldic scrolls. 

Once you have completed the basics, completing BG to level up your beasts is fairly easy.

I do receive many invites from leagues in server 1. Unfortunately, I play on server 2. I am in a good league with very good people. I try my best to keep up, but I am rusty. However, I do win the raids tournaments every second win, sometimes twice in a row. I also set a raid record of 16 million raids on server 2. So no thanks.

One of the worst advice is to tell new players in a league to spend hours sending archers to veteran players. All 160 of them. So a new league member will have to spend his first few hours in a league, visiting castles and sending archers. 

That is horrible, old fashion advice.

Sometimes within a few minutes of joining a league, you will receive a PM from one of the captains with such instruction which include sending archers. What purpose does sending archers to serve. Nothing. 

Instead, advice the new player to comment on chat, so veteran players can send friend requests to him.

Then tell the new player to save up whatever sapphires he will get from the league tournament to upgrade the Embassy to level 22. He should do this within 21 days. Upon doing that, he must send ally requests to every league member that is active. 

That is all. 

This allows the entire league to monitor his movements. If he is a spy, units stationed from his primary castle will show in those weird attacks. Plus you will also see what the new league member attacks. Who spies and all that information. 

Sending Triggers has a multi purpose Strategy And if a newbie can't be bothered to do it then maybe they are not the team player that the league wants. My suggestion is to send the triggers and while doing it also send a friend request  this way The veteran Player knows exactly who a friend request is coming from. I will not accept Friend request from Players I don't know where they are from. 

I am firmly camp in of archer triggers within the league being utterly pointless too. There was a time it was useful but now its completely defunct - pretty much for the reason already provided.

To say it is bad or horrible advice is  myopic and looking at it from a newbie point of view as being inconvenient. Personally I would boot a player that refuses to comply with a standard league Practice as it is part of proving your willingness be a Team Player and following the orders of the leagues leadership.

The embassy offers a chance to have 150 allies at level 22. The benefit of being allies with 150 members of your league far supersede the tedious punishment of forcing players to engage in an old, boring custom of no benefit. 

An ally report from a fellow league member tell you much more than what a mere archer will ever tell you. And in fact, if a newbie can't be bothered to send an ally request to his fellow league members, then maybe he is not a team player.

No I don't care to elaborate there should be no need to if a New entry doesn't value the league they have just joined enough to follow a simple instruction  then they are showing disregard for the leadership at the start. 

And if the league is still at the top of the heap then maybe they have made the essential changes needed to remain there and are operating under the age old adage if it isn't broken don't fix it !  :)
