This system benefits highly at 1 star awakening, especially for PvE.  None of this impacts anything other than platinum and maybe G3/G4 tag for PvP.  Again no big p2w advantage.  The same teams I can't beat now, I still can't beat.  Just even easier to spot...

This is far more useful to the entire player base then the dupe system/empowerment.  I don't even have a +1 champ, and haven't sold any dupes yet.

Pretty much agree with all of this. Even outside of Brimstone there's a few ways to speed up content in PvE (Hydra, yay), make some content more stable to grind, so on and so forth. 

With regards for 1* non Legos and significance: Cruelty, Crushing Rend (depending where you're using it), Hero's Soul, Faultless Defense and Phantom Touch are all quite good, even at 1*. Perhaps to a lesser extent on the rares, but Cruelty and Crushing Rend are quite nice.

Cruelty is one you typically want one champion with, Crushing Rend on the other hand we can pile up on

I picked up 1 star awakening on seer (bought from market) and went with rend, it doesnt seem that significant? but i will re-look at figures.

Phantom Touch is insanely good. On my DPS champs, it triggers for right around half of the Warmaster proc. So on Brutal CB it was 83k for WM and 44k for Phantom. UNM was 69k for WM and 34k for Phantom.

Helicath having Brimstone is HUGELY helpful in Robot Elevator Fortess (where it hits for 367k or something on 15) and Super Snake (where it can basically free a champ in two procs) and even is decent in CB (although it is limited to 250k in CB per meteor).

At max level, sure. But at 1 star, you max out at 10%, while the cap is 40% on waves and 20% on bosses. So at very least you'd want two.

Well, the issue here is that Cruelty doesn't stack, so almost always past one champ with it, just seems like a wasted blessing.

No, and therein lies the issue. Try multiple 1* Cruelty champs on a boss, will still just cap out at 5 hits. Whereas a champion with Cruelty in concert with Crushing Rend/Phantom Touch champions will do work. 

With multiple Cruelty champs, you just get to the cap slightly faster, as it doesn't stack. We've checked. You can test it yourself and see that with multiple 1 star champs, you'll only get 5 activations versus the boss between all your champs.

This MAY be useful in Hydra, as each head gets a fresh counter when it respawns, but it seems to me that most content it isn't useful to have more than one champ with Cruelty rather than Phantom Touch or nearly anything else tbh.

That is ... super weird. Why would it specifically talk about how it can't go over 40% / 20% with multiple champions having it, if it wasn't intended to stack up? But fair enough, if that's the case, I retract my 

I put a complaint in not long after Iron twins started about the drop rate of essence & was disappointed with the response, As it does not say that on the Iron Twins descrition page, I considered it a waste of time & my rescources but persevered using paragon. 

I wondered how long it would take them to update in to stop players defeating the iron twins using Paragon. As it takes the best part of 30 minutes to defeat them using Paragon, if I had better champions I would use them. (which I'm not likely to get being a pensioner, so have limited income, they seem biased against low income players) now it is even more a waste of time.
