it gives me a reason to build different Champs I guess. but I mean the rewards are somewhat lackluster. my guild Downs the normal Hydra not hard and I can't get any mythic gear because I can't get the last chest on hard. so I mean I kind of enjoy it but at the same time it's not giving me anything to progress me in it either. just like the rest of the game. and why are there no shards or books from this boss it makes no sense.
Just Hydra enjoying. Others is not.

I ran a pretty boring team without any deep tactics. But it 1 keyed hard which to be honest is good enough for me
First attempt i tried to block the poison cloud with uugo but couldnt get it working because of the cleanse, which is why i didnt run geomancer (geo kept getting cleansed on first attempt). In the end i coaxed the debuff removal using ninja, then used my drop defence after that and gave up on geo
Deacon (def down turn meter), Brogni (shields debuff block, damage passive), Ninja (damage), Royal guard (damage), Rector (heals, and res), Demytha (massive heals)
Poor dps, great sustain- went wrong for me when mischief head decided to eat all my champs repeatedly.

Why you dont add easy hydra max 800 000 points for max chest to give chance to get champions or any gear
Well, since you necro'ed this thread, I'll echo my previous comment. I haven't touched Hydra since the first few weeks, and have no intention of going back until some significant changes are made.
Since this thread was necro but still relevant imo, update from me is I one key normal each week and that's as far as I go.
I have the champs and gear to 1 key hard(probably) but do not have the patience to do so.

I only use 1 key a week, i get about 20 million on normal then dont touch hydra as it is just tedious.
Our clan members have to be cajoled into killing at least normal.

Can your folks even kill Hard yet? I am trying to get a general feel for the percentage of people who attempt above Normal, and clans that push anything higher than Normal Hydra as a whole.
I'm sure our clan *could* clear Hard. But I'd literally have to pay them to actually spend the time/effort to get comps together and run the fights.

This is the issue mine has as well. I THINK we could do it, with 2 keys from a couple of us. And hours and hours and hours.

We have talked about beating Hard for awhile but it's never materialized due to the time/silver/regear investment. I am not keen to reroll 5 (at least?) runs for the rewards. And that was on the easier rotations, which uh this one is not. 😢

Silver intestment and regearing every week, or at least every rotation. That seems less than ideal. I remember the 10-20mil a day needed for the FW grind and this seems a little reminscent of that.

My clan has yet to kill hard, we have killed normal every single week. In comparison we kill unm/nm/brutal cb every single day. Myself and others 1 key each difficutly as well.
I think only 2 people in total from my clan make real progress on hard hydra, everyone else just ignores it completley.
It is too much effort to swap around gear or steal gear from champions being used elsewhere.
I was very excited for hydra initially, I like leveling up champions and gearing them out, and this gave me a reason to keep doing so. I have 71 level 60 full ascended/masteries/mostly booked champions to pull from even. If you look at most of the top hydra comps though you will see the same few champions being used.
