Doompriest and Versulf were both MVP. Doompriest for removing the fears and allowing me to run AOE damage, and Versulf because of his A1 giving him a shield, and thus having more buffs than anyone else on my team, so that he gets targeted by the buff stealer and resists the steals.

Okay. Hmmm. I wonder who I could load up wih Resist that always has extra buffs.

Ok I can only do one team. Thank you plarium for putting totally absurd resistance (you have to have + - 400 to not be buff stolen) on the first level of difficulty. 

How am I supposed to do as an FTP and I'm not even talking about obligatory monsters (I only have the rector) in 9 or 10 months. 

I have to finish the faction wars, the tower ..... Please donate more books to be able to build teams to have access to all content

Yep - unkillable/block damage/ROD + resist is the way to go IMO

Did people for CB just start at UNM or NM or did you work your way up?

If you worked your way up why do you think hydra should be different?

I would focus on Lydia.  And farming up new 60s. I just pushed really really hard to finish up FW over the last two months, and am focused on farming up food for Inquisitor Samael right now.

Well said. I think we'll see a lot of folks unhappy that they need to put the nose back to the grindstone, but that's what building for new bosses is all about. And in most accounts, like mine, this won't happen overnight.

I never said that you shouldn't work for hydra, but there is a limit to the unreasonable demand for plarium for the easier level. 

If I complain, I will be told to farm more. Can you pretend I'm bad, not hardworking enough .... or whatever. 

The basic statistics to fight this boss are absurd, whether in speed or resistance and without these stats no result. 

It is my sense of the wickedness to confront level 45 players with such a thing so early and to ban rewards just because the boss is not balancing against the rest of the game. 

First run:

Duchess, Kimi, Lydia, Ninja, Shamael, Tylessia.  15m on normal, full auto, no AI set.

I am only 10 months into the game but I understand that hydra is not meant for me to beat yet.

This is from another Tread, while I understand you believe Hydra should be nerfed, I believee it is meant for those players who have been here from the start and find most of the other content trivial.

Just ran auto.  Tried watching, but over 100 turns i learned very little. I had no clue what was going on.  Duchess actually died first but came back... I don't have any strategy yet and really doubt we will learn much on the easy level.  Like DT, nothing that works on easy will translate to hard.

What I did notice:

Ninja was good. But I don't even understand Ninja kit, let alone hydra...lol

Doompriest clearing fears is good 

A high resistance Duchess just always seems like a good choice 

Draco, Astralon, skullcrown useless

I think Inquisitor even at 40 in proper gear can probably do work on normal, going to try that when I'm done my faction war stuff for the day. Will report back with results. 

The key to that team is Duchess with high resist. Because of her perfect veil, she makes the rest of the team immune to the fear, and also doubles as the target for the buff stealer. And because of her resist, it never gets a steal off.

Sadly the number of champs that can do this are pretty limited. I have Drath, but the veil only goes up if the champ is fully healed :/

Managed a 1 key on easy with random champions after my first key failed while I was testing and looked away before I could reset.

This boss seems very hard, will be interesting to see what kind of comps come in the next few months.
