This tournament is impossible for free to play. Let's crunch the numbers shall we?

The tournament is running 3.5 days which means you naturally acquire 20 x 24 x 3.5 = 1680 energy over that time period. You get two free energy refills from daily activity and quests a day so that's 260 a day. Let's say you are smart and have 4 days' worth so another 1040 energy.

That's a grand total of 2720 energy or 170 runs of dragon 20. Let's assume you have a rare team capable of running this 100% successfully. To reach the final prize of 3750 tournament points, you need to average 3750/170 which is over 22 points a run. Check the points table. That means you need to average at least 6* epic pieces. On average. RNG is not built like that.

Conclusion, free to play players who can clear D20 with a rare team will need to spend gems for additional energy or bring energy refills from elsewhere they've saved up and still pray to RNG for good loot drop and even then 3750 will be tough.

There. Maths crunched. Your tactics are plain. This is a pay to complete tournament.

This event is super fun for high end players such as myself.

I have been looking for the opportunity to skip an event to do some minotaur grinding.

I think it worked out great.

I got about 5 heroes all who need scrolls.

I got some bonus energy from the compensation messages game sent out.

Yep - Me & Minotaur together again!

I will not recommend 6 starring reliquary tender just for this event. I 6 starred her before and she is one of my key units in autoing stage 20 dungeons except spider. After I got Arbiter, she is already resting in the vault. She is not even in my stage 21 team in faction wars. 

As already stated great for end game players or those very unlucky who have no epic/legendary character's

Worse still ZERO points for not going all rare , when you're at the point in game where you need to raid dragon to progress

Perhaps you could offer bonuse points for winning with rares rather than penalizing the players without the required champions

It is getting pretty boring, so yes I am waiting for new events to start, but this time I only feel that I can do less tournaments instead of more interesting trounaments which give legendary books, which only makes it more boring.
