I almost beat with drexthar (no souls) replacing 6star helicath on 1st try.  But I realized artak at 5star makes a difference (and you would call that out lol) so didn't waste more than the 5 minutes. 

And thats the thing, jokes aside its only easy if you have an appropiate champ with high blessings.

I didnt really this rotation and if i hadnt had marichka as a cheat code i would have failed this rotation

So, I did regear Duchess to remove Reflex, but not really having much luck. Current team I'm trying is Duchess + Tyrant + Wythir + Rowan + Rathalos. It sorta works, in the sense that I can get a few rotations through, though it's not really consistent since I can't quite figure out how the boss decides whether to use the A2/A3 or just use the A1 when in dark form. Gonna keep trying at it, we'll see if I eventually solve it.

I did it with Duchess, Artak, Ruarc (just there for his a2 cont. heal steal), Elva and Rowan

How did the targeting go? Did you do anything special? Who did the boss target with his A1?

I built rowan with the lowest hp, (~50k, with 2700 def) but i gave her emergency heal and a bloodshield ring. the boss mostly targeted her, and elva usually took care of anyone who died immediately. Everyone else was between very to super tanky, 80k hp+

So, somehow Rowan actually survived the hits?

Rowan and Artak had 3* blessings, Artak with brimstone. Duchess has a 1* brimstone, Elva a 2* sheep which I really really should change

Totally agree with the OP. Trying for hours now to beat this "normal" tuned boss. 

All my characters are awkened (many in the rotation for Doom tower hard) and packing 65k health and 380 accuracy. I have beaten two doom tower rotations on hard and can't beat this one boss on "normal?" 

I could understand it been that hard ON hard.... But normal? My champs with base 580 resistance (+ the aura of +60) are getting smashed or stunned. 

The form 1 stun needs blocks debuffs in place, or 555 res on normal, 655 on hard (according to HH's stages tool)

The form 2 sleep can't be blocked or resisted. Ideally you have a fast champ with cleanse to wake the rest of the team up.

The key things are making sure 100% heal block is up, having decrease att in place, at least before his big hit, and making sure no one on your team has any masteries or gear that reduce cooldowns.

That's the general strategy anyway. I'm no expert, i just could not, for the life of me, beat him even on normal last rotation.

Beyond that, you really want to have a big blessing on your lowest hp champ, that seems to be who he'll most likely target, idk if there are other factors.

And an afwul lot of teams seem to rely on having one or more 5-6* blessed champs placing protected brimstones for dps, but i managed to get through with only 2* on the first rotation and 3* on this one.

But OP has a point, the fight is hugely RNG dependend even if you do have the meta champs and gear
