Just sold my stuff and i was wrong, i had 1 - a 6 star flat stat chest

So far this rotation i have done 57 stages including amius and not kept a single item of gear, it doesnt really encourage you to work past the massive roadblock that is s6

I can't even sniff a halfway decent Merciless set, and Supersonic is just awful in general IMO.

Not merciless no, if i had picked up a piece with crit rate and speed i would have rolled it to 8 and decided at that point.

So, this time around I seem to be hitting a wall. I have all the right champs, but I simply cannot survive the boss A1 in dark form. The main difference between this rotation and others is that previous ones I had a 5-star blessing on Razel, which allowed him to actually survive the hits. This time around, nobody survives, regardless of their HP.

I have plenty of block damage / etc, but when he shifts forms and does the buff swap and sleeps everyone, I don't recover fast enough to place them before he gets his turn. Is this just a question of using absurdly high speed on someone with blockdamage?

amius ignores block damage and unkillable buffs when in his alternate form, so that won't help you any.

what kind of setups have you been running?

In terms of setups, here's what I have to pick from. Most of the important people are fully booked. Notable exceptions in terms of non-booking are Oella, Deliana, and Elva. Posting screenshot as a separate post since I started writing this from my laptop instead of phone, and don't feel like retyping.

Team 3 is me on auto, team 5 I did full manual 

The key difference with your two teams, it seems, is the blessings. Which brings me back to my original thought. Every winning team I've seen requires a high amount of blessings. That first team in your list seems to be the exception, but I'm going to assume it worked mainly because of that broken duo champ.

there's the comp i ran it with. not having sicia will sting a bit, but she and quintus can easily be swapped out for other dps champions (or mortu to spam heal reduction). you might be able to replace elva too if you really don't want to book her, but her passive is great for keeping amius' a1 off your squishier champions.

I baited the A1 hit with Duchess after using her Veil.  Could add in Tyrant for his Ally Protection on her and with attack down she can probably eat it pretty well.

I gave up trying to focus bosses a1 onto somone and just died and rezzed and died and rezzed, killed the boss a couple times and then killed him in the right form. Like every rotation I dont have a lot of blessings.

All these teams still have high levels of blessings on them. For example, zed your team has a 3-star blessing on Duchess, which, admittedly, isn't *super* high, but clearly is enough for her to actually survive the attack. My problem is none of them, not even Duchess, survives the hit.

If you have a chance to see it more carefully, take a look at how much damage your Duchess takes from the A1. I'm curious what it'll be.

Blessings definitely matter, i only had 3 star on my duchess which was barely enough - i made sure i always put veil up just before the switch to his damage form.

For me the team was marichka (4 star), duchess (3 star), baron (5 star), mortu (zero stars), drex (zero stars). 

I used baron as my 'low hp target' purely as he had decent awakening.

So, like for example I have some random epic champs with high levels of blessings, none of which will bring any real value to the fight. Think it'd be worth trying to put them in just to absorb the hit? And if so, how does he prioritize targets? Do I build them with high DEF and low HP?

Well you need to do some sort of damage, i think the most popular way to do damage is from brimstone but mine came from hp burn and raw damage from baron.

As i understand it the lowest hp champ is targetted but it doesnt appear to be consistent.

If you can fit in veil/damage/heal reduction and a bait high awakening champ then it may work.. i didnt bother with reduce attack which most say is crucial

To be honest though every time this boss resets i come close to rage quitting - i dont know how many tries it took but i think i was messing about for an hour or two restarting.

Are you manualing or auto? Assuming you aren't having cooldown masteries by now on champs u are using?

Literally the only problem that needs solving is the fact that I can't get Duchess to survive. And I don't see any way to make that happen without more blessing level on her. So, the next best alternative is to try to get someone else to take the hit, and ensure they survive - that's how I did it in all the previous rotations, with Razel being the person surviving.
