Lol. This guy is basically a direct Tormin counter. Some guy at Plarium is just giggling right now :D
Also - he's 100% replacing Yakarl on my FK H10 team. Might even be able to speed farm FK H10 now - saw a video of someone in absolutely ludicrious gear doing it by essentially bringing the shield down then killing the boss before he gets a chance to act. With this guy I might be able to pull that off - basically thinking something like Gnut + Blizaar + 2x Fatman + Kymar.
PS - does the passive effect turn off when the active effect triggers? Does the passive effect have a cooldown?

Why would he be replacing Yakarl? Yakarl has decrease speed. Even Criodan has a 3 hit a1 freeze and brings Increase Speed for the team. I really don't see a strong value in this value for FK hard - he's just bringing the triple hit freeze right...?

Also the speed farm team that Scratch uses is here: https://youtu.be/WcSGPSSC9S4?si=lOmvMlSv-o5CMfHn, third segment in the video, uses Martyr, Gnut, Kymar, Coldheart and Cardiel

I'm fairly sure the passive effect is always active and the active effect has the cooldown. I'll extra double check though and get back to you.

The SPD down is irrelevant, given the boss is going to die before getting a turn :) Yakarl A1 is only double-hit, this guy is triple-hit, which is critical for bringing the shield down. As for Criodan, his A1 is only 35% freeze chance, vs 50% on this guy. That's important, as the freeze is necessary to prevent the boss from getting a turn.

Here's the one I'm referring to - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMeN7QH20mk
I have typed this out 3 times saying that he would be just "meh" in arena but the more I have thought about him the better he is looking. The video talks about how is A2 cleanse will be useful and it will against teams that use freeze to lock down your team for sure. He will be an awesome counter to Tormin but he will also work well against Ninja which is on far more teams.
What changed my mind about this guy is the A2 paired with the passive. With the 50% ally protection he can syphon off damage and if he dies it isn't a big deal. The big question is what is the modifier on the A3. If that hits real hard he will be a good champion for arena. If it hits like a wet noodle I am not so sure.
If the A1 was a little better than 40% I would put him in counter attack gear. Because he would be freezing the other team left and right. Especially against someone with Ninja on their team.
I donno, we shall see. I will get this guy but my books will be going to other champions such as Xena before this guy. Now that there are 10 billion legendaries they really need to start giving out more legendary books. So many interresting champions sit on people's shelves because they are stingy on legendary books.

Well it's a trade-off isnt it? if your guys go slower, or the boss faster for lack of the inc. speed or dec. speed, then you HAVE to reduce turn meter at a higher clip.
So i'm wondering, is +30% inc speed on all my guys not more important to allow them to hit faster, thus reducing the turn meter more often (if it procs) versus more chances to reduce TM on ONE guy.
So i'm not sold on the fact he is more valuable than Criodan, for the boss alone part. We'll see.
