I got 153 pieces of gear and 72 accessories that i kept after a year of playing .. not counting whats currently equipped on champs ... i rarely go above 300 , once the gearing is done and redone a few times , i started to be very very picky on gear ... only 6 star , no rare , then down the list for stats , never even got close to the limit , in a year of playing this game .

Also if i ever needed storage space , id seriously question why i have 1300 pieces of gear sitting ontop of all my champs already geared out ...

I bet, when you make a quad speed items, you sell it the removed 3 substated speed items. 😂

Man when i just burning at energies at spider/dragon tournaments i pick just 6star epic or gold items (godlike,legendary), but 35sec i got 2 items, when i finishing with tourney i hold at least 15-20 items, maybe thats max 1% or less ( you just try to calculate yearly). Plus when starting a Forge Pass, need to hold better items which is nowhere farmable, there need keep 6star better blue items too. I dont think so, what game you playing , but when someone playing at least 3-4 years , his items over 1200 pieces (Just like in Cold Brew,Ash etc. videos). The last item slot upgrade was at 2021 spring, 7 or 8 item sets came out, plus mythical items. If just holding from everyone 2x6 pieces from all item sets and 2 mythical from all sets, thats 144 pieces and i just speak minimal item storaging. 

I think maybe a good in-between solution would be to provide us with 400 temporary storage. From this storage, you would not be able to either upgrade or equip items. It would simply be a temporary space to store the artifacts you farm/collect in any way possible. From there, 2 options, one, transfer item to regular inventory, two, sell. 

And in exchange, i would remove all gear from falling into the mailbox, which to me is annoying because you can't see what items are in there anyways, except the general rarity and rank. And even, if they gave us this feature, i'd actually be fine with them REDUCING the actual inventory. There would be no reason at all to keep any unrolled "maybe" pieces in there. Those could be kept in the temporary bag if you are really into keeping such items.

Diferent view is just diferent junk. You are likely early to mid-game, no reason your artifact storage should ever exceed 1000 at your n00b stage :) I'm usually around 1200, but I'm lazy and hate selling +12 +16 stuff even if I wlll never use.  

Now is a great time for spring cleaning.... 1) Artifact event 2) 50% offgear removal   

If you have lots of unleveled gear (I imagine you do?) then 50% of your inventory cn be cleared this week:

1. Sell the 200 crap  not even worth rolling

2. Roll to 4, sell 200 more

3. Roll to 8 sell 200 more

4. Roll to 12, sell the junk.... 

all ur kinda proving is we all have lots of junk  and we need the room for it (again i got a lot of shitty awakenings and epic/legos in vault i aint being forced to spring clean these :P) more room doesnt hurt anything imo, just means more options for people to make decisions, also at ur end game stage its clear you will have filtered out most of ur items and ended up with only a few select items you need, but even something like forge can max ur space out in 1 sitting.

Its time you write what counting junk items for early/mid gamers. For my opinion, mostly 6star blue or for an endgame player its junk, but not for an midgamer (such as 17 speed etc). So...

Thats why you do the steps I listed and keep the handful of items that are not junk.... its the 500 unrolled or already with 1 or 2 bad rolls sitting inventory that are going to end up being almost entirely sold. I guarantee every midgamer if they posted all their storage would have 50% that would be sold immediately or after rolling to 8.

And if they're not selling that much, they should be tightening up their view of what "keepable gear" actually is.

OMG trips... the thing i wonder is if you're asking yourself the right question. Maybe the other question yu should be asking yourself is, why are all these items not equipped on people? I bet you must have dozens and dozens of naked champions. Gear them! LOL

with recent updates and more items now becoming viable to use , do we need more storage?

As a new player, it was a good thing for me to clean out my item storage after the last CvC forging. I just reached max and I had no idea how much useless gear I had accumulated. ANd I got millions of silver just deleting all 3*! I'm just saying, new players like me need to be incentivized to clean out our gear storage. I also have nearly 100 developed champs becuase I like factions. So, we'll see how I feel later but for me the limit was needed.
