Get either your starter champ (Athel) or Ronda to lvl 60 so you can use them to farm the campaigns and make it easier to level up food champs to evolve your good ones. Either will also help in other content.

It's completely up to you if you want to push champs in certain factions, but it will 100% come at expense of account growth and progress.
I'd still take up Scyl and Stag next, regardless of if Stag will give you too many Spirit champs.

There ya go.
One champion that many people sleep on would be Fylja.
Her A1 hits like a truck if built correctly, she has a 100% Turn Meter Deplete on her A2, her A3 is an AOE that hits hard as well, and her passive is amazing if you don't have a lot of team buffs.
I wouldn't put her at the top of your leveling list but I would keep her in mind.
