I know everything about Arena and will gladly help you. This building will allow the Master and Counselors to run Championships, during which Order members can fight foreign troops and armies of other Lords in the Order Citadel. The number of attacking troops increases with each new level of the Arena.
The Championship is needed for gathering Trophies of Arms, by killing foreign troops. Yes, they get points for killing the incoming NPCs. They don't get points for killing anyone else other than from your order. (And if you don't attack, they don't get points from you. The NPCs will, though, and they will get points off that.)
They also expose themselves to being attacked by everybody ... and everybody will.

Your defense is simply to grow to an arena of your own and/or be big enough to kill them in their arena, and when they attack yours.
