Seems the common answer is to uninstall and reinstall. Make sure you have enough memory / space on your device.
Your game situation is associated with your account, not your device. So as long as you can bring up the game, and log in to your account, you will be good to go.

I have the same problem, my game quit, and it connected me with an old game, lost bunch of money, troops and resources, and they blamed it on my computer. always the negate their fault, lm going to report them to the BBB and comsumers agencies. everytime something goes wrong they blame it on you.
