Seeing as I solved it the exact same way. Although I am lazy enough to just quote this and say "Yep, that's my answer too. The solution is 400."

Unfortunately, you forgot that you resolve multiplication and division prior to resolving addition or subtraction .  I've inserted parenthesis to clarify:

30+(50x5)=

total is 400
