Archons, even before this update you had a possibility to develop your City faster with the help of Drachmas. You can buy experience points only till the 70th level and this new feature doesn't influence on the game balance. If you want it, you buy it. If you don't like it, you won't buy it.
Nevertheless, the true experience you can earn only participating in Battles. In order to be more experienced Archon you should develop your City, troops, sign new agreements, upgrade them, take part in Tournaments, fight with Xerxes, capture Pans with your Coalition! But there are such situations when you need several points till the next Level and you want to reach it so much! Then you can buy some points It just points, but in order to be a true Archon you need working hard
I think the real winner is the free to play level 80 who absolutely crushes him, causing him to leave the game....or a credit card that isn't maxed out. Perhaps, refinance your home on top of that?
Plariums pixels aren't worth the colors on our screens, yet you people keep offering up pay-to-win strategies for those idiots out there who want to blow all their money on your pixels. So let's just say some little level 35 decides to max out his credit card buying levels, drachma, units, articles, GPs, and all the other premium content in this game. He goes completely apeshit and levels himself up to your "max" level 70 with a full army of champs...how is that NOT pay-to-win? The only one "winning" here is Plarium. They get to laugh all the way to the bank, while this poor soul loses everything he owns to his credit card balance. The rest of us go find another game to play. Good luck with that strategy Plarium! You won't be in business long with that kind of reputation! Enjoy the ride while you can.
Yeah, it's more a "pay to brag" feature here... :p
Wha'ts moslty worrying us as veterans playing in a coaltion still having a bt of turnover, is we won't be able to judge applicants ability on their level anymore.
Yes, I know you said we'll have to learn to know them better, which is actually wise.
Well, we'll see... I think our level requirement is precisely 70... That's bad luck. ^^ LOL
There's a point I'm not agreeing with : this story of colonies...
Am I the only one who respects the fact someone was holding them first, then ?
I don't care for the level.
However, level is important to qualify a target to raid for PVP or quests... Some under defended fake veterans may think they were quieter before atificially levelling up... :p
I just read this whole post and the bottom line is you cannot pay for true experience and I have a feeling that those requesting to level up quickly are the new coiners trying to play catch up with those of us who had to work for over 8-12 months to get past level 70 with many trials and tribulations along the way.
Sure level does not dictate the player but actually earning the right to be a level 70 or above through actual game play in my opinion is a birthright of sorts and to know others can do it with the click of a button is disheartening. A real slap in the face to those who have fought hard to get here.
Loosening the belt a notch here and there is a clear indication that sales are slow, just like in the real world when the price of gas drops, it's a clear indication of a bad economy but the masses see it othwerwise.
May I know the point to quoting other people's messages and say nothing else ? Did the last two posters forget their brains at home this morning, maybe ? :^p
I'm sorry, but on all forums in the world, this is jut called flood and has to be moderated. Please post only if you have something to say, or, in addition to your posts getting deleted to clean up the topic, you could get banned.
Thank you for your attention.

So ppl like me, when we see his lvl, will think he's as experienced as us about the game, but in fact he wont and can't be abble to know all the stuff about the game we do know.
Then that's a competitive advantage for the players who earned those experiences!
Let them buy who want to buy & let them achieve who want to achieve.
Just chill!
Uncle Junior has a point.
You can take a 10 year old to play here and ask his parents to pay for level upgrade. Where is the experience ? He starts at level 1 and ends up to level 70 by using the upgrade button and he/she still has diapers on.
Experience is earned through trial and error. The more you play, the better you get. I earned all 87 level and I never seen the Level plus sign. Weird.
Happy gaming. Happy new year Uncle Junior.
I guess this was asked by some players...
Unfortunetely someone has pointed a sad truth : most of the weird additions were asked by impatient and immature players wanting to raise without playing for a full year like verybody else... And most of the time, they have left as fast as they joined and asked for silly things, so most of them are probably not even still there to get what they asked for, only leaving the trusty players community with the wreck they caused !
Anyway, I've noticed we lost an important thing we used to get with every level, and that made levelling up worth it : drachmas !
No drachmas anymore for every level... Wich is very regrettable, as it was a very good motivation to progress.
Of course, there would be no point to pay drachams to level up and get less of them as a reward... So removing them was only logical.
However.. It is very sad indeed.
I don't know why anyone would want to buy experience points anyway. Being a higher level just makes it harder to complete some of the little personal missions that say "raid a city above a certain level" which makes it harder to find a suitable city as you progress and you can no longer use the farms to do mission raid-resources. The only useful reasons I can see for wanting to go up to a particular level in a hurry is if your coalition is just one standard short of being able to expand and needs someone to reach a level of a multiple of 5 over 50 to gain a standard but there will usually be someone in your coalition who is already on the point of reaching a level where they can gain a standard as well as those who already have standards who haven't yet applied them who only need to be reminded, and the other possible reason for being in a hurry to progress your level is if you have won an item for your general that necessitates being one level higher to be able to use it but I have found that those particular items aren't always the best, sometimes your general is already equipped with a better item! Of course there are those who want to look more experienced than they are just to look good, but paying to progress could backfire as their coalition members may expect more from them than they are able to deliver and they might also attract the attention of genuinely experienced players who may see it as a challenge to regularly attack them - then they'll gain real experience points!Depends how you see it! Some people believe the higher the lever the better..Regarding personal missions such as "Raid a city or besiege a city above certain level" I'm sure if you search thouroughly you will find dead cities of the needed level or higher. As for the general that usually happens to lower level cities not higher ones. The level isn't always important since personally I know quite many high level players who are armyless...
