Hello, everyone!
A new Raid Update will go live very soon, and the time has come to learn what it’ll bring. First of all, turn your gaze to the new Hero’s Path Event that will offer a wide variety of rewards and give you plenty of freedom in choosing which of them you want to pursue. Additionally, we have QoL improvements for the Tag Team Arena, Hydra Battles, and Artifact Upgrade. And, of course, new Champions are ready to join the fray, while our old friend Trunda Giltmallet will get a couple of awesome new Skins! Read on to find out more.
Hero’s Path Events will feature branching choices of reward Paths, and it’s down to you to decide which Path - or Paths - you want to head down. If one of the rewards draws your eye in particular, it will be easy to pick the quickest route to it and collect additional prizes along the way.
As far as objectives go, Hero’s Path Events combine multiple game modes and activities: winning Artifacts in Dungeons, upgrading Artifacts and Accessories, leveling up Champions, and much more. Completing those activities will earn Hero Coins that, in turn, unlock Hero’s Path rewards and Keys that allow you to explore additional Reward Paths.
Every Path will lead to the Event’s most valuable reward, but the extra Keys and Hero Coins we’ve mentioned above can unlock the other Reward Paths as well. The first Hero’s Path Event will be dedicated to the Summer Solstice and will launch in the near future under the name of the Paths of Light.
The first QoL improvement is something that’s been heavily requested - Hydra Battle Regrouping. You can already do this during a Battle if you pause, but we’re now adding the same functionality to the Battle Results screen.
Once the Battle is over, you’ll now have a choice between keeping the result and losing that Hydra Key, or trying again to fight for a better score. If you pick it, you’ll be thrown back to team selection, where you’ll get to tweak your team and take on the Hydra once again.
Tag Team Arena will receive an inactivity penalty similar to what we have in Classic Arena. Anyone who doesn’t launch 10 Offense Battles per week will be demoted to a lower Tier. This may seem like a small change, but we think it will make a big difference and help free up space for climbing the Tiers for the more active Tag Arena players.
The final improvement is also something that has been requested by the community - the ability to skip Artifact/Accessory Upgrade animation. As of Update 5.60, you’ll be able to checkmark the “Instant Upgrade” to do just that, though the game will still simulate all the Upgrade attempts required. The actual process will still happen the normal way - attempt by attempt, with a certain success chance per try - but you won’t have to painstakingly watch the drama unfold in front of your eyes anymore. Unless you just really, really want to.
