Thread hijack, did i hear a rumor of a mercurial nerf incoming?

Honestly, I find it as obnoxious as anyone else does, so I won't argue if they do, but I will 1000% use it until they nerf it.  Then, maybe still, depending on what survives.

Reportedly they said in a cc interview that they "aren't happy with the mercurial meta" but don't want to just introduce a gear set or champs that ignore total guard stacks.

A common suggestion is to have non-attack debuffs and effects remove guard stacks instead of only hits.

That would let debuffers that don't do damage help the war effort, something my Loki would take advantage of, also newer players could get more utility out of Skeletor that way.  "Begone fools!" 😜

What if they leave mercurial alone but ban it for pvp?  That way we can use it against pve such as Grim Forest?

Last 30 minutes of ranking period, found myself super close to plat tier.  So I pushed some.  But with the evade team, I found I have to push harder than free refreshes and have more gems.  I saw the line move about 50 pts in last few minutes.  Even with a string of defense wins and three offense wins in the last minutes, it moved too far to close.  Fun chase, but I don't think I feasibly have the comp to seriously make it.  A first Arachnilixir would make a huge difference in the number of kills.  Three misses in the last three FW forge attempts...nuts.

Rant: 

That is a sad reality about raid. Can spend years and thousands of dollars to simply be worthless after a year if ya don't keep spending hundreds to get new meta champs as they're released. Spending more chasing new meta champs just to find they aren't that great but you didn't want to miss out cause most fusion events are now or never champs. Tons of time resources and money wasted on irrelevant new champs sometimes. What doesn't help is it seems every yt CC talks every new champ up like "oh this champ is broken" when its just a decent champ nothing special. Is like they get paid to bait people into every event so they waste resources forcing them to buy more for the actual good event cpming a week later. 

Annoying part is we spend to get these new champs only to see a week later plarium is giving them away for free to new accounts. Is like being a loyal service providers customer for years but you don't get the free new phone, the guy who never paid a dime to them does. 🤔 

I get they want to bait new customers into their services but they shouldn't forget about those who made that service so wealthy in the first place that being the paying customers who've been there for years. 

No love in the corporate world. 

Greed is the downfall of society today. Could give someone everything they need and want but if you run out of means to help them they will just walk over you when you're down. 

Also its ridiculous Mercurial protects other buffs.  That would be a good nerf for it as well. 

Its really hard to keep up with the burst of points the last 5 minutes or so.  Especially if you dont have a super super fast meta killing offense.  Someday ill remember to try for Plat again. 

Once I get Arachnilixir, I'll go for it again for grins.  Ezio's gonna be a nightmare with it, as is any poison champ that dishes poison sensitivity and also has Lethal Dose.

How do you land poison on mercurial?  Doesn't seem viable in high arena unless I'm missing something.   But bigger question is how you don't have a rare relic, I don't even pull relics and I have a few lol...

Just recently pushed into FW Hard, but now have five teams in there.  First three forge tries all hit the useless codex, the other rare.

As to mercurial, at my level of PvP, it's not yet all merc all the time, but I do sometimes give up first poison AoE with Predator's AoE to drop merc for the team to start taking down threats.

I'm punching out of my weight class with this team.  Lol.

And with this, I have my million whale.  2nd one down. 😁😂🥳

Totally f2p, of course!  To be honest, I don't see a possible way I won.  Probably a quit from annoyance or an all SS Ezio bomb kill?  Idk, but I take it anyway.

Ugh, 0/4 at trying to forge Arachnilixir...I'm so bad at forge rng, it's disgusting. 😭

Heavy RNG can win ya fights you shouldn't for sure.

A week and a half ago, I got a million pt team.  But couldn't be sure it wasn't a "nope" quit when they could have easily won.  But this time, the million pt team lost...and then came back.  And lost again.  That they came back a third time with a different set of Sabrael, Embrys, Marichka, and Taras to finally get a win only confirms I beat the team posted below, twice and legit.  I think that's enough to call it a fun, complete experiment.  I got my (enemy = totally f2p, of course) whale hooked and cooked with Predator, 3 free champs and mercurial gear.  Too cool. 😁

And Laz with the other three turtles ain't doing shabby, either, as a second TT set in merc.  Laz with all four turtles just downed my second DT Hard rotation (only 1 remains).  I have to say, beyond Arena metas being upset by mercurial gear, the set is amazing for PvE, too.
