😂. No one has missed your point, ever. You only come onto the Forum to give your bi-weekly "LA Sucks and everything about it sucks, and it'd be hard for it to suck more than it already sucks." message, in either comments or with your own thread(s).
Your messages have been received and your feedback has been passed on to Plarium, multiple times, I am sure. Maybe come back when you have constructive fixes for a Mod to pass on...not that those will get listened to either. Plarium seems to like the LA mess they have made since they keep doubling down on it versus fixing it...
Account Level 92, about 1.5 years old.
I already reached 1320 in a previous season, so I know it is supposed to be difficult. But the current matchmaking feels significantly worse.
Around 850 season points I am repeatedly matched against level 100 endgame accounts with 20k–40k+ regular Live Arena rating and years more account progression. Losing several matches doesn't reliably improve the matchmaking anymore.
Even the bot after a losing streak can now have a very strong meta roster, so the previous fallback that at least allowed persistent players to slowly progress is no longer reliable.
I don't expect easy matches or free rewards. I expect difficult but reasonably competitive matches. Right now, playing more often can simply mean losing repeatedly against accounts I realistically cannot compete with.
Please reconsider matchmaking based almost exclusively on season progress. Account progression or another strength factor needs to be considered as well.
What the heck is this match making, please?
I constantly fight against players with seasonal rating 15-30 above mine, not to mention their overall rating being like 15k+ while mine is at 3k.
How high are the odds that I win those fights in a time you have to get 20 wins somehow for that stupid soul event?
Thats so frustrating! Think about it Plarium and change those quests.
Catching up on this thread and I think MooredRat's timer suggestion is still the single best fix on the table: if the pick timer runs out once, everything goes auto, and a second timeout should forfeit. Right now stalling is a legitimate strategy, which is honestly absurd — you can lose a match not because the other team was better, but because they ran the clock and tilted you into a rushed pick.
Two smaller things I would add: first, a short rematch cooldown would fix the win-trading pattern described above. Even a one-fight gap between rematching the same opponent would break the quit-trading loop without hurting normal players. Second, during the pick phase, showing which champions on my own roster have their AI set to manual would help a lot — I have lost games because a flex pick was still on auto from farming and I only noticed mid-fight.
Live Arena is genuinely fun when it flows. It just needs the friction removed so a match feels like a contest again.
