I am glad that I read this. I was about to reopen my Hydra thread to get some help. Now, I can save time and resources not gearing any other champs for Hydra.
Poly, you've been putting off building Hydra toons for as long as I can remember you talking about Hydra.
Time to get off those toons off the bench and into the game.
It seems like there will always be issues with Hydra mechanics & Hydra AI, but you won't get the good rewards if you don't build toons for it.
I ran on auto again this week, but I did take the time to watch some of the AI targetting.
Things are definitely better than they were, but I still saw some strange targetting behavior such as:
(1) Attacking a head that is weak affinity when there is another viable target that is strong affinity.
(2) Duchess still likes to target Head of Torment as her first choice.
The weak affinity attacks when there were strong & neutral options available happened again this week.
Additionally, I saw a few auto-attacks into Heads with Posion Cloud and Serpent's Will when there were targets available that could actually take damage.
Is there anything in the works for a further refinement of the Hdyra A!?
Is there any word on another round of Hydra AI Tweaks. The things that are still broken seem like obvious fixes.
It is so irritating watching auto attacks into Heads with Serpent's Will or Poison Cloud when there are other targets w/o either one.
I just watched Varl try to use his big A3 on a Force Head with Poison Cloud up when there was a Force Head & a Spirit Head ready to take damage.

Its not just Hydra. I have to use the red dot in too many battles because AI makes the wrong decision.
