Chewbacca lookin bears that are like the Spartans to the Athenian Ogryn Tribes. They even have skills that single out Ogryn Tribes. Maybe they’re werewolves since they follow along the “secluded and dangerous” theme that dwarves kind of started with their lore.

DO (bear in mind it has to ally with dwarves)
1. Gnomes is natural and missing. High agility thief and ranged units, or engineering units for both dwarves and gnomes make sense. Improve bomb mechanism.
2. Goblins are missing and a key lore hero set, also fits with the tinkering and engineering theme above
3. Elementals would be good, because it is unique in this current hero ecosystem. Not sure they fit with the Dwarves and Gnomes
Also consider having a forge to forge our own gear.... like EVERY GAME
DO NOT DO:
1. "Asian humans" is just so cliched and boring, and it will just be more humans in asian look armour. *rolleyes*
2. "Amazonians" --- UGH more bikini clad female warriors, as if we don't have enough under barbarian

All factions where released in the beta with the dungeons dropping gear from all factions and the names were revealed there. So unless they changed them it should be samurai's, mages, and a forest elf type faction :)

Samurai are excellent. Ever seen the Seven Samurai? Yojimbo? Any Akira Kurosawa films? Oh, and there'd also be be ninjas/shinobi. Karate/Judo/Aikido masters. Maybe even a Tengu swordsman/birdman.
EDIT #1: Though I suppose the Far East faction wouldn't have to be entirely based on the Japanese. It could have Chinese and Korean-based Champions as well. Certainly no reason why it couldn't be an Empire ruling over different types of Asian-based nations.

That means the Legendary princess we'll have a chance to get after beating the last stage of the Fire Knight's Castle 10x will be in that Mage Faction. Not sure if she will be Magic or Void Affinity though. (Okay, this is just my idea, but I think it would be kinda cool.)

Since the dwarves have released, I have been thinking about this. Here is what I think they should be:
Nymphs, fairies, sprites, etc
Centaurs
Gnomes
Special mentions:
I think goblins and elementals would be cool, but why would goblins and elementals ally with dwarves? It wouldn't make much sense to me.

Cats and Rats have been mentioned why not put these together and have a Lycanthrope faction so you get Were rats, Were cats; Were Bears etc.
