Ahoy, Captains!

New locations can now be found all over the map of the Seven Seas – Treasure Islands! By Attacking or Capturing Treasure Islands, you can gain free Resources, Rubies, Experience Points, Tournament Points, and/or Points for the Rankings!

If you manage to capture one of these beacons of hidden riches, and protect them against the onslaught of rival Captains, you’ll be able to dig up treasure in the form of valuable Resources and currencies: Buried Gold, Buried Rum, Buried Timber, Buried Gears and even Buried Rubies!

Unlike with Targets, how many Resources you can take from a Treasure Island depends on the overall carrying capacity of the Defensive Units you have stationed at the site, as they’re the ones doing the looting and heavy lifting.

You will need BOTH Offensive and Defensive Units to Capture a Treasure Island, but the Defensive Units will NOT engage in the battle. If you don’t manage to Capture it, surviving Units (Defensive and Offensive) will retreat to your Haven. If your attempt is successful and you manage to claim the Treasure Island for your own, all surviving Offensive Units will be automatically returned to your Harbor. The Defensive Units you sent will stay there, sniff out the buried goods and dig them up, loading them into a Barge. The number of Resources that they can bring back to your Haven depends on their collective carrying capacity and the Resource type (Rubies be heavier than Rum, after all!). The more Units you have at the site, and the higher their carrying capacity, the more riches ye stand to gain!

If your Units are defeated, and an Enemy takes control of the Treasure Island, all surviving Units will return to your Haven empty-handed. They will not recover any Resources.

You can oversee Treasure Islands under your control in the “Treasure Islands” tab of the Pirate Stronghold interface.

Pay attention to the following rules ‘n restrictions:

-You must have a Lighthouse built in yer Haven in order to sight Treasure Islands.

-You must the Dutchman’s Hangar built in yer Haven in order to dispatch Scouts to Treasure Islands.

-You must have built the Manufactory in yer Haven in order to collect Gears from Treasure Islands.

-You can only send Reinforcements to Treasure Islands that you, yerself, currently hold.

-If ye send Offensive and Defensive forces to Attack (not Capture) an Emporium, all Units will participate in the attack. That’s why we don’t recommend ye send Defensive forces on Attack missions!

-Fer starters, ye can hold a maximum of 3 Treasure Islands at once, as shown by the number o’ Barges in yer fleet. To Increase the number of that number, visit the Witch Doctor’s Hut and upgrade "Maximum Targets and Treasure Islands" to Level 30.

-You can’t send Massed Attacks to Treasure Islands.

There be no rest fer the wicked, Captains. May wind an’ wave be with ye on your quest to conquer these valuable sites!

would be nice if you also added islands to recover relics as I can't find anything for relics any longer please bring relics back.

So now when their taken from you, you don't get a report or anything, you just look and it's gone. No master at arms reports. WOW...I don't like this at all...I'll sit out of these stupid things.

Yea I held 2 gear mills, got no reports that they were taken at all...This is just wrong. You should get a report that it has been taken.

and when they were targets, where it only took us 2 to 3 minutes to get there, it's taking sometimes 10 minutes now. Not a good thing at all. I preferred targets. I don't know why the need to totally change them. Oh and now since all these updates, our master at arms reports aren't coming in again, so you add things, then more things get messed up again.

something is wrong with this, I've taken 3 gear mills, and then it tells you that you have to wait 5 minutes to load, after the 5 minutes are up, they dissappear, not taken their just gone. I just looked and it's still empty not held by anyone, just dissappear.

its not glitches, nobody took her treasure it's calculated by the troops she sent, whatever amount she sent once it can't hold any more they leave on there own with the treasure, the more defense you send greater amount they hold in resources longer they stay and gain the resource 


only thing i find is slow is the parrot telling us amount of treasure we got from it, it does eventually come like 4 minutes later some times you have to reload the game to get it

I never got any treasure, I watch my reports, and mine are empty since the gear mill I cleared over the weekend. So no I never got any gears from any of them. and then I guess my troops came home, I don't know.

This has also effectively reduced the speed of daggers by having to attach defensive units to them. overall this change in the game BLOWS.

i agree there i wasted my pearls to allow me to have 3 targets, if these treasure islands have no rules of how many we are allowed to hold

then we should get our pearls back sense there is NO TARGETS

ELIA i just checked in game and i can't see any player having more than 3 treasure island. Can you please share a screenshot with us?

Concerning the pearls I assume most of you already have a witches cane and if you haven't reorganized your pearls at all in the past you get one free readjust for free. You can pull your pearls off if you want and apply them else where.

Captains, ye can capture max. 3 Relic Targets and 4 Treasure Islands. Make sure ye upgraded  a corresponding skill at the Witch Doctor's Hut.

ok got it..

one more question: is there no limit to how far can we see the Treasure Island in the Lighthouse??? i can see some that are 190mil from my haven..

in general all the new Treasure island are much more far then we had the targets.. why is that?

Previously, a player could leave 1 Bonney (BB) at the target and claim resources after an hour.

The Treasure Island (T.I.) gameplay is flawed.


In consequence of the rule change, players aren't occupying islands but raiding them with massive forces. The attacker knows that he will beat the relatively mall forces left behind to collect.  Attackers don't even bother to scout.


I've lost too many units to occupy T.I.s. Most of the T.I.s remain unoccupied. Yesterday I counted a 25% occupancy rate.

To fix this problem,  you might try

1) Tripling or more the defensive values of the units on the Island;
2) Make only Pirates and Mercenaries able to fight: leave all elephants, plague ships etc at home.
