Tournaments Test Update #2
📣 🚨 As you may remember, we conducted a test in August focused on Tournament matchmaking. After observing that the test made battles far too tough, we took the test offline. Our team has since rebalanced the matchmaking system and changed the terms of the test, so we are ready to launch its second iteration.
As we launch this new matchmaking test, you may experience changes to your average Tournament experience. Our goal is to ensure your Tournament Battles match your progress through the Heats, while still remaining fair but challenging. Expect to face tougher opponents as you reach those higher Heats!
⏰ The first Tournament with new matchmaking tweaks will happen on November 5th, 6 AM UTC.
As always, we’d love to hear about your experience with the new test. Your feedback allows us to fine-tune the game experience and make it the best it can be.

Was this matchmaking test and the one before it used for AI bot training? I only ask because the bots behavior is the only thing that seems to have changed with matchmaking after both tests were over.

The latest update sucks, now I am trying to win coins against players with way better hangars than me (5 of 6 have PW of 8K+...4 are over 10K, my hangar is around 5K), even the ones that are lower have 1-2 Legendary / Epic Mech maxed out with weapons that are R5 or R6.
So the stronger win all the coins and get stronger, and all others don't have any chance. 20 people you are competing against for prizes should all be around the same hangar l level.
iI used to be able to get in top 3 every now and then, but now don't stand a chance.

I addition, since last update I went from winning 60%-70% of tournament Matches to winning 20%-30%, because now I am playing against a lot of teams that just plan overpower my team (and teamates). Will try to get screeshots added to post for examples.

Matchmaking sucks for tournaments and regular matches? But it got worse in tournaments. Now you get more matches against players who totally out rank you, or SP dropping and playing fully Ranked mech with fully ranked weapons and then for crap mechs. There hangar is 3K to 4K so they play more inferior opponents. Players have admitted doing that on chats.
Need to look at human player and bots. A team of mostly humans has big advantage over team with 1 or 3 players and the rest bots.
Need to also look at hangar strength and match accordingly (if my hangar is 5K, the opossing teams should be similar strength 4K-6K (hangar strength +/- 1K).
