Playoffs are just honestly such a mess. Whether they're cheating or not doesn't really matter all that much as if not there'd still be a huge amount of peeps who have a ton of points because they decided to spend their parents credit card hard earned money
Bring back the vault blitz I say
Thanks, CrystalDrew. I was willing to end the matter with your response, but since then there are a couple of observations that caused me to change my mind :-) :
1. When I checked recently, the leader mentioned in the original post had about 36,000. An increase of 20,000 points from the time of the OP. Let's say around 2,000 points came from XP and other sources, to get the rest would require an additional 720 upgrades.
So, even if the user had lots of XP stored up from before, they would still need a total of 1,000 upgrades to reach this score! There are only a few mechs that you can upgrade cheaply.
2. Someone noticed that the user "Dog of War", who was recently at 4th position with 20,000+ points in the current gold event, had ended the previous award playoff event at 36,000 points. That event had the same objectives as the current one (XP, daily objectives, upgrade, and log in for 4 days). Somehow, this user has so far accumulated 56,000 points over the two events.
That would need a significantly higher number of upgrades than 1,000, probably over 1500 upgrades (very rough estimate). Attaching the screenshots here.
I'm not accusing these players of doing something wrong, but you've got to admit this is very odd which is why I and others are so curious.
Consider the conditions to make such a thing possible. You have to start with mechs and weapons at the lowest possible rank for its rarity, and you have to spend a huge amount of credits, acoins and blueprints to upgrade that many times. There are, after all, only a limited number of mechs and weapons (common and uncommon ones) that can be upgraded cheaply.
Under these conditions such scores continue to be hard to fathom :-).
My guess would be they are tanking and constantly clear their limits manually to gain more xp, but that's really oddly specific
For 1. The rainbow flags all over every Mech says it all.
For 2. Cheating, yes. & giving lots of $$$ on top of that, probably so.
Therefore the devs and admins (Crystal Face) will do nothing
You can accumulate 10k point in a day no matter how much you throw in and let's take it practically strike rocket is worth 7.5k a coins and someone spending 20 to 30 k a coins + money to get that as reward is stupidity it's mech arena
Playing with us creating fake accounts and keeping on top so no one top rewards
So i don't have proof to show it that this happened to me but it's upto them it already happened anyways
So i was a new player and was just done with lacewing event but i don't know for some reason I didn't get the mech it just showed to me that I got it but didn't showed in hanger so i kinda disappointed
It really does look off at this point. When the same players place top 1–3 in every single award playoff event — for 7+ cycles straight — the math just doesn’t add up. There’s a limit to how much XP you can stash, a limit to how much XP you can earn per battle, and a limit to how many weapons you can still upgrade. Even logging in for all 4 days wouldn’t explain that kind of progression.
If they’ve already dominated previous events, they shouldn’t still have enough resources to repeat it over and over. That’s why this pattern feels less like “grinding hard” and more like exploiting something. It would be good if the devs could actually review their accounts, because at this point it’s not just unfair — it’s suspicious enough to warrant an investigation.
You can clear it by changing division. You might be able to clear it via acoins but I'd have to test it
Gotcha. I thought you meant something other than changing division (which I consider automatic XP resetting but I get what you mean that it results from a manual action).
Via acoins do you mean the option to reset battle and victory points? I've never tried that either and have always assumed that it only resets those points, not XP. Does anyone in this thread know? (I'm just curious.. but not curious enough to try it for myself :-) ).
LMAO!!! Glad to see im not the only one who catches this BS!!! 1000000% MODS Playing AKA Game Designers For ppl like me who like to win and that means spend more money, And no matter what we do we will never win cause it's Designed for us to Just spend money, Hanger Show dwn is a Joke also,Teir 1 mechs playing Led Mechs,And ON cap play is BS!! Soo my advice is just no when to stop spending money & just enjoy wtf ya got like I have,I've spent 1k or more on this game & LMAO!!! Fortune Keys are dollar for dollar INSANE then lower cost on A coins just to BOOST Credits spending VIA MORE REAL MONEY SPENT so yep
Document player names with screenshots, because I also wonder for weeks and months, that new players are that high in such events. There are people who start a game and dump multiple $100 in the game, but so many doing this is unrealistic and seems like artificial player creation to make others spend money.
Also, try contacting the players later to get their response and see what they have done to get to this point.
