i thought trying to gain dominion points and level up your dominion level is a good thing but seems like you will just be treated un-equally and be cheated ,
i shouldve figured that out already considering how your system operates , those who spend money to buy offers are offered higher prices than those who dont , and those who try to gain dominion points to level up their dominion get a higher price for the items which others pay only half for ,
seems to me that doing anything productive in this game either to spend money or level up or even be loyal and play the game is like biting your own fingers , this whole system is kinda crap and make sure anyone in power here can convey it to your company who have literally all unhappy customers specially those who got forced in the new engine which is not soughted :)
nutjobs making this company worser and cheating loyal customers.

You are quite correct though in that I didn't specifically mention Grade 5 Guardians in the write up I did, my apologies for missing out that one piece of information, the article took me quite a long time and it was late at night after an extremely busy day at work so I guess I slipped up in my wish to help those on the .com forum with a feature I am very familiar with due to them being released on the FB servers a while ago, I am now in the process of adding to my post to highlight the difficulties surrounding Grade 5's

I did however state the following

If you want to spend.

Quite a few packs with dif things available but i would only ever be tempted to buy the packs that contain the 2 holy summoning bonds, everything else you want you should be able to get in time if you follow what i've said above.

I would not be tempted to buy the epic summoning bonds with your new emeralds they tend to throw out grade IIs far too much for my liking.

They are far too over priced for a small chance at winning a grade IV unit in my opinion (Sorry Plarium!).

thank you for that post morteee - i read it and parts of it were very useful

the trouble is that we now believe that you can not get a tier-5 guardian from holy summoning bonds.

you should not tell people that they should purchase them to get something you can not get from other bonds - you CAN NOT get tier-5 guardians from these items.

or at the very least - the odds are impossible against getting them

i have been talking to many many people - including my vip agent, 14 coalitions we are close with, and general public in forums

no one has a tier-5 guardian in the glorious valley, or the other 2 servers

no one has seen one

i am being told that people have purchased hundreds of holy bonds - adn only ever find tier-4 guardians (something we can get from epic bonds easy enough)

I have purchased epic bonds and found only tier-4 guardians

i believe these people because they all have the stones to upgrade tier-5 guardians - but no tier-5 guardians

In short we feel cheated by palarium.

We are not warned about the ridiculous odds against finding tier-5 guardians.

posts that warn people about the horrid odds of finding them are deleted

We are asking for information - and getting conflicting answers.

Guardians of tier-5 level offer a much greater bonus to fighting than any generals gear or city bonus.

To be competitive we NEED these items, and they are at best a gamble with terrible odds of obtaining one.

This is poor form from palarium.

I am now told the company was recently purchased by a gambling website - which would explain much.

We are not meant to find these items.

I know a couple of people who have them so I cannot say they are impossible to gain as that would be incorrect, I have however stated they are ultra rare and advising caution

I appreciate you adding that to your post. It is only fair that people are warned before they buy.

It is not just the 100.00 we spend on the pack that hurts - now all my guys can not purchase anything from the bank for 6 months until the price of drach offers comes back down.

That hurts also.

The tier-5 guardians you have seen ... are they in the .com server or the facebook server

(i know there are tier-5 in facebook - but we have put a lot of effort into finding them in .com --- even the top groups do not seem to have them)

davidus i am in plarium.com and i got a level 5

i got it the first day, i was extremely lucky, my collegues were not (and they also have spend some money for nothing). i also was lucky as i got it in my speciality in game.... ( i hope you dont mind me not saying which one, i keep it for a special ocassion hehehe)

what i dont get is any of the basic bond that give for free, i fight, i get them, but them they dont go to the "items" place....

Alina Phoenix. Even though some people are not thrilled with your first response on this thread, I have to say that was the most honest and straightforward thing I have ever heard by a representative of any game.... Ever.

Yes guys we pay to win and I knew that from the start, as I can imagine most of you did too. I don't spend a fortune here but I do spend a few dollars here and a few dollars there when I want to. I enjoy the game and I choose to spend some of my expendable-leisure income in this virtual world. Also as started before, nobody forces us to do that.

Having non-paying players can be great if they are organized among each other or along side some big players in a decent coalition. 30 or 40 extra guys dropping their daily build into a pan or cap makes a difference for sure. Everybody can have fun at whatever level they choose to play at.

Can they challenge the biggest and baddest guys in the game? No. Those guys put in the funds needed to keep the servers up, the game in development, and the marketing active. They are the reason the game is even online at all.

You want a totally fair to play game? Try Fortnite or something else completely skill / hardware based to win. Personally I play more interactive games like that on my gaming PC, and I leave Sparta up on my laptop beside me. I can also log onto here for a quick gaming fix when I am at work or otherwise away from home. Sparta is my chill game.

Plarium has a direct-payment for additional services business model, which allows us to get ahead of the curve, but it also keeps the game functioning. The skill based games rely totally on advertising, and if they are not incredibly popular they go under quickly. These guys have been rolling along for several years now, so they obviously got something right.

Now the real question. Is the payment system totally fair? Well take it into perspective...

The best deals I have been given resulted from taking massive losses, or from being inactive with purchasing and just generally logging in. Those good deals are designed to get players back on their feet from one of the above situations. They are not meant to be a fixed price model.

Yet does that still seem fair? Probably not, but it creates a development curve that keeps things at least somewhat balanced compared to regular / heavy spenders. If those top players had been getting the best deals possible at all times they would be exponentially stronger than they are currently. Thus making any advantages you purchase as a infrequent / moderate spender much less valuable.

If it still bothers you, just do what I do. If I don't like the offers then I simply don't buy them. If you wait a while they will eventually send you the better deals if you can't justify paying a bigger price for instant gratification. Holidays and other special events are also a great time to take advantage of some of the better offers they have.

Lastly, I will give a bit of advice for people who do choose to pay into the game. Budget your Drach! Spend it on things that will have long term value. Some examples would be your resource generation buildings, artisans for faster construction, upgrade sketches, walls and towers, ect... Focus on permanent things that will reward you over time and develop a city that can build and sustain a large army.

If you choose to spend your coin in a more fleeting manner then don't blame the payment system for being broke. Some people can afford to play that way and others will make mistakes while they are inexperienced. Either way this game is designed for long term play and how you choose to do that is the real strategy in this game.
