Freeze, that bubble you saw is when player comes back after long absence and last 7 days. It is gift from lord Oberon and you can not turn it on when you wish. If you do not want to spend money the only way is to put your units in catacombs. You can tell your fearsome league mate to besiege your castle and tell people to not raid your castle. Have nice time in your vacation.

partial, gains + 50% with hero but bgs are not important for the game (you can not get them), find other balances involved and choose the best strategy
