the one bar  trick  was an error in code.   I'm glad they fixed it.    we  all are glad they fixed it.    I  have won 29k mac cav before  on a level 129    ten mins  later  I won over 30k mounted pelts.   sure it was fun  but think how big the  bigger armies  would be if that was still in effect.     they did not change the system    just removed  old glitch  and replaced it with fixed reward system.   pp  is a troop converter   nothing more.   if you play with 20 mil lights and heavies  on a bod day  you make 20 mil in cav or phalanx    on a great day you will make  20-40 mil  in cav and phalanx.  

If I recall correctly, some time in the past, there was a statement from Plarium saying the 1-bar approach will no longer be as effective as in the past. I never used that approach, so can't comment further.
