Ppl forgot distributive factor...8/2(1+3)...means 8/ ((2×1)+(2×3))....8/(2+6)....8/8...answer is 1. Anytime you get confused on ( )...use distributive factor...it simplifies the problem 😉

BEDMAS  Brackets Exponents, Division, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction.  In that order.  8/2  x  4=

4 x 4 = 

16 is the answer

So this has had a new response,but is only posting the opening admin puzzle question.

 It gave me a new idea.

Does the question mark apply to the whole question? The standard  procedure would be yes.

However, does the puzzle  answer its self, by the question mark only applying to the 16,casting doubt on its veracity?

Giving the answer to the riddle in the question, that the correct answer is 1.
