Unless I find a way to synergize his passives, I don't see myself building him. I was looking forward to it for Faction Wars, but his first passive is not gonna play well with Vogoth and his second passive is not good for 3-starring it.
Although something tells me there will be some OP synergy with the new Awakening mechanics.
I don't see the passives being contradictory. He's a Defense champ, so takes considerably less damage than any champs you would pair him with. Just being Defense based ups his value for one. But damage mitigation keeps him up much better than champs like the starters, or any other attack based champ you're using for DPS.

I think what he means is that one passive has him take damage for his allies while the other benefits from his dead allies. Maybe not contradictory per se, but they compensate for each other rather than complementing each other.

I understood what he wrote. Once again, I don't find them contradictory... they are just cool interactions to work out, depending on the team. I fully expect this guy to be a Solo Farmer candidate even.

I understand him well he will work out no matter what the situation he Will help keep his team alive as long as possible but once they start to fall they will impower him to finish the job his Set up if cool and unique as can be

Yeah, due to his second passive. In the meantime, first passive either gets in the way of that by him taking damage from single target attacks or at the very least doesn't help him in being a Solo farmer. I mean maybe the heal part, but that's neither here nor there really.
In the meantime, if you're building him as a protector, his second passive is kinda useless.
What role would he be better suited for where he would benefit from both of his passives? Because they both are cool passives, but I can only think of ways to build him around one of the other.
I think he can be a strong champ, and both passives are cool. I just cant see how they compliment each other. Only one or the other is really going to be in use at one time. That doesn't mean they are useless. But only one will really be usefull. If all your allies are dead, the first passive is useless. If all your allies are alive, the second passive is useless. Both are cool, I just hate leaving things on the table.
His first passive can synergize very well with Provokers, Block Active Skills champs, and skills that put skills on cooldown, since most A1s are going to be single target. I guess his second skill can help tank for a reviver a bit longer.
His A2's Fear is comparable to MM's and Big 'Un's 50% stun, albeit only for Legendaries, so maybe Doom Tower, Arena, and FW? Decrease ATK is always useful.
His A3 is somewhat reminiscent of Black Knight's A2, but with shield instead of Increase Def, and with a longer cooldown. His A1 is also kind of Black Knight-ish.
His protector passive, does it mean like say you got your nuker who gets attacked and would take 10,000 damage, since his defense is not high, he's a nuker right. But then DK's passive steals that damage onto himself. Does he take 10,000 straight up? Or is that 10,000 recalculated according to DK's own defense stats?
I think hes okay , mid-tier but with new and interesting mechanics , cant wait for the shenanigans with awakening stuff , but hey freebie is free , cant complain much ..
if he would be undroppable, like op ninja, then it would be complitely free. now its just another placeholder in droplist.
Well, if nothing else, he does basically completely shut down Rotos.
Theoretically, not just Rotos, but also Trunda and Hephrak, since their second hit is coded as a multiple single target hit. I'm thinking of trying him out in Stoneskin, really slow and really tanky, and see how he behaves.

Only Trunda a2 though. And how often is that ever used?
Or does her a3 work like that too?
