I really hope that you will find Apo in a mystery shard. You are limited to non-void rares from shard pulls, he is probably the best champ you can get from a mystery.

So many rares, with just mystery shards the odds are not good.  Even with ancients, my alt had Arbiter before pulling Apothecary...

Yes I agree. Later down the line he'll be needed for pretty much all my teams.

I think using the daily login champs is must, including Ninja.  My interpretation of the challenge you created is to eliminate "shard luck" from game progress, not opening shards other than mystery is enough of handicap imho.  Since everyone has these available, I think adding another variable/handicap is not warranted.  That said starting with a lego in week 1 changes the game completely, lol.  But that is the game as it stands now, so ignoring that would render the experiment meaningless.

haha good luck , i have a 4th f2p acct that i plan on waiting till the month after i get vixen the unbowed b4 i start lvl , just logging in and collecting every day till then , now that they added ninja i will start with 3 lego's , sycle, vixen and ninja ,,,, so good luck !!!

I started with Kael, and in my 2nd day i got FB and Galek :D

Ok, so now we all got Ninja including me.  

Dont know anything about him yet. Maybe even worth 6  star him before Khael  ?

I think Ninja's A3 should hit hard enough to kill a wave in 12-3, so he could be a campaign farmer as well. I don't see why Kael should be maxed before him.

Because Kael is easier to maximize because he use rare books...

U can lvl him to lvl 50 and put on some similar gear, make some test using each one and if u see that dmg/sustain are similar... u can take Ninja to 60. Sooner or later u´ll wanna have Ninja 60 for dungeons and BC anyway.

On the other hand, Kael is one of the better rares u´ll have in this proyect so for overall content will be usefull for u too.
