How to get 200, 250, 300 and 350+ speed in champions, a study
The idea of this thread came up to me when someone ask how do you get your champ "X" amount of speed?
The answer is here. Farm at least Dragon 13 which drops 4-6 star speed artifacts. I suggest at this point, slowly throw away your 4 star gear and start replacing them with at least 5 star gear. And also, Faction wars, stage 10 of faction wars drops 2-4 star glyphs which will help a lot in pushing up the speed of your champions.
Keep in mind a 6 star Rare artifacts have maximum of 6 speed in base substats. It also rolls maximum of 6 speed per roll. So a 6 star Rare artifact can roll maximum of 18 speed.
I will showcase different champions. But here, I am trying to study how "easy" to get certain speed. So I will ignore other stats and just look at the speeds.
I can say from 200 - 300 speed is pretty "easy". Easy, because it only needs Rare gear at max to reach 300 speed. And of course, some speed glyphs will help.
200 Speed
I chose my Trunda because currently she has no speed set and not in Lore of Steel mastery, and she have 100 base speed which I can say the "average" base speed you can see in most champions. Here is an example of at least 200 speed. She has legendary artifacts but you can see below it only have 1 roll in speed. So basically, a Green to Blue artifacts with rolls in speed is enough to reach at least 200 speed.
This is her artifacts. Only one roll in speed. Glyphs enchantment in speed are not even high. Chestplate does not even a roll in speed. Chesplate and Banner does not have glyphs in them.
250 Speed (almost)
I currently don't have a good champion to showcase that have 250 speed. I'll have to use Rotos for now. His problem is super low base speed. If I will put his artifacts to my Trunda, she will have way over 250 speed. So for now, let us study my Rotos. He also not in Lore of Steel mastery but now I have him in 1 speed set.
With mostly 1 roll in speed ( only chestplate with 2 rolls in speed, I'll talk about the banner later). I guess you can still reach 250 speed without a speed artifact if you can roll at least twice in speed in most of your artifacts. So I can say, have at least 6 star Blue (Rare) artifacts with speed, pray that it will roll on speed twice and you can certainly have a 250 speed champion. About the Banner, it roll 3x in speed, but it is a 5 star. If this is a 6 star banner with 6 speed substats and it rolls twice with max substat, it will have 18 speed. So basically, this 5 star banner is equivalent to 6 star Rare artifact when looking at the speed.
300 Speed
Now, 300 speed is closer to end game. But it is still obtainable mid game. If I remember it right, I have my first 300 speed champion after 8-10 months of playing and it is a Doomscreech with only 95 base speed. You will see it is not that hard to achieve 300 speed. You just have to constantly farm Dragon and have a lot of patience. I can say it is not hard, in a sense, where you just need Blue 6 speed artifacts with 2 rolls in speed. Again, just 6 star Rare artifacts, which is not really difficult to obtain if you are farming Dragon.
There are Epic artifacts here but Chestplate only have 2 rolls in speed so it is pretty much equivalent of a Rare artifact. The gauntlets on the other hand, is a 5 start but has 1 speed higher of a Rare artifact with 2 rolls in speed. But come on, it is just 1 speed higher, and my Lyssandra way over 300 speed :) . I can say having a complete set of speed gear is almost a requirement to have at least 300 speed.
350+ Speed
350+ speed, not easy for most players and definitely not easy for me. It took me almost two years just to reach this speed for my Arbiter. I have complete set of 6 star Epic speed artifacts but some of them unfortunately only have 2 rolls of speed. This speed is surely enough for high gold 4. I can reach rank 30+ (I think) in platinum during week days. But not enough to be in platinum rank during rush hour of arena reset. Or maybe lack of trying for me :P
Here is the set. Some lucky 3-4 rolls in speed with max glyphs. I don't really suggest to put max glyphs on 2 rolls in speed, but I am desperate lol. So basically, you will really need to be lucky (or farm Dragon 24/7) or get a lot of speed artifacts. I am still trying to improve my Arbiter, (and of course other champions with her should also improve in speed) so I will end this post now and back to farming :P
