I think you can safely break any CB team to facilitate hydra/chimera. 

Unless you need big numbers to assist a lower level clan, top chest is attainable with 4 solid dps and 1 support. And that was 2 years ago.

All pretty good advice. I'm basically trying to figure out if there is an easy way to take my cb team and make it work in hydra. Currently running wix, titus, demy, brogni, and mikage, all around 250ish spd, but without very much res. I do have Oella, as well as probably many other options to put in. Tbh not needing any monster numbers, but if I could get into the higher millions, I wouldn't mind - currently get around 60-100 on 

Quick Battle works, but only if you get lucky with the Devour Rotation. Otherwise, you may need to run more battles until you get the RNG you need.  

Are you using a Titus team now?  You have to have a different toon have the highest CD, because highest CD is the initial Devour Target.  After that it is totally Random, so Titus could be second or he could be last.  Obviously, you want him to be last or close to last.

I do build all my Hydra Toons with fairly high Res, plus I am using Diamant so one of the buffs that gets stacked is Inc Res.  Oella will the same thing and is a perfect swap for Diamant in my comp above. 

To get the most damage from a Titus Comp, you need to get the shields grown as quickly as possible and have as many shields as possible to grow: (1) You need someone in a chunky shield set, (2) You need Wixwell to open with his A3 and then priotize his A2 to grow, (3) If you have a Volcardiac Heart Relic, the Magma Shield is a third shield that can be grown, which will give a solid boost to Titus' Damage over time, (4) The new fusion (Pelops) will be the first toon able to cast a Magma Shield, so he would become Hydra Meta even w/o that nice Damage Mitigation.

I have Lamasu in 6 pcs of Impulse and Wixwell in Reflex to cycle their skills faster. I have a shield set on Diamant with 90K HP and a Volcardiac Heart on Hatter with 93K HP. Lydia is just in standard gear. If I regeared her to 9 pcs Protection or Feral, I could get more damage out of Titus.  Titus is in 7 pcs Merciless for the Ignore Defense. If I can ever get him a good set of 9, I will try it but the extra turns could let him out-run his buffs, which already happens sometimes with Lamasu hitting him with her A3s.

What else do you want to know?

The variance on a Titus Hydra Comp Quick Battle (or straight full auto run) is about as crazy as it gets.  If Titus gets picked for Devour 2nd, his damage will crash & burn before it ever gets going.  Those runs only do a few hundred thousand compared to Billions.  My highest full-auto run is about 2.5B, but that was before I did a bunch of gear tweaks last week that resulted in the semi-auto 4.9B above (previously, my best semi-auto run was about 3.5B).

All that said, top chest damage on NM Hydra is only 36.6M.  If that is all you care about, why would you bother with a Titus Comp? A Titus Comp is a PITA and only makes sense if you want to push Hydra Clash.  

You can do top chest damage on NM with countless easier-to-build comps featuring any one of the strong Hydra Damage Dealers and 5 supports to keep things rolling.

If all you need is 36.6M.  Here are toons off the top of my head that could do it alone with 5 supports, or better yet, pick two of them and 4 supports: Thor, Tholin, Trunda, Mash, Ninja, Varl, Othorion, Razelvarg, Maranix, Hurndig...

Or a couple of other options:  Shy'ek/Kro'Khad with 4 supports.  Turtle Power (If you did the TMNT events).   

You have visions of sugar plums dancing in my head.   I have 5 of those damage dealers.  I have been searching for a list like this but have not been able to find it.  

Can you give me a template of skill sets for the support champs?  

My "plan" is to win all the best rewards and use that to build better teams for higher points.  Does that make sense?

Poly, if you weren't doing top chest NM Hydra after all this time, why the heck didn't you make a thread that said "Help Me With NM Hydra!"

Here are some basics:

• Use Shamael. If you don't use Shamael, you'll need Veil (Duchess, Firrol, Glaicad, Tatura, Elva....)
• Resistance is VERY GOOD.  If you don't have high Res, you'll need a High Res Mischief Target. Head of Mischief always targets the toon with the most buffs, so self-buffers are natural Mischief Targets.
• If you can't stay alive as long as you want to, you will need a Reviver. Good Hydra Revive options that check other boxes are Duchess, Glaicad, Ukko, Elva
• For Debuffs, you want Dec Def, Weaken, Hex, Block Buffs, Dec Atk, Dec Spd, HPb Burn
• For Buffs, you want Inc Spd, Inc Def, Block Debuffs, Strengthen, Inc Atk
• For Hex, I like to pair a toon with an AoE A1 and multiple AoE hits in a Hex Set with an Ally Attacker.  I have used Katonn, Ukko & Cupidus in that Role.  For the Ally Attack, Mikage, Padraig, QoH & Osgrun are probbaly the top tier, but any of the others will work.
• Alternatively, for Hex, you can use a dedicated Hexer like Mithrala or Hatter or lots of people run Lydia in a Hex Set.      
• Try to use toons that check as many boxes as possible. Lydia is a prime example.  Almost everyone uses Lydia in Hydra because she gives important buffs & debuffs.  Less obvious are Dmg Dealers than can double as supports such as Sicia.  She can bring HPB, Weaken & Dec Def while also doing solid damage.  With two AoEs, she could be a Hex Set Candidate, but I run her in Merciless to keep pounding away with the A3, which can grant an extra turn with HPB.
