Because it's the only way to get folk to play - not everyone obviously but I think most (like me) just don't bother.  But I agree, it's a devious way to try to encourage participation rather than look at why it's not played and fix that

It is no big deal to miss an advanced quest, it is irritating however.

I can usually do the standard and advanced quests in that time, today?...i have the message 'arena will open in 4 hours'

Plarium seem to forget that people have real lives and cannot log on at specific times.

It is the Plarium way. Instead of making the modes better, so that people enjoy those areas of the game, they force us into them through our constant need of that daily energy potion.

Why do they force us to play and win faction wars, that's not fun either?

Honestly I've seen that in every MMO I've ever played (which, tbf isn't a lot,)

Introduce a new game mode, players don't like it, players spent a couple weeks/months suggesting ways to make it better, devs ignore suggestions, and instead of changing the things players don't like about it, just make it mandatory to complete dailys

The changes are fabulous, other than a slight afk uptick that hopefully is temporary (but qol changes to live arena #1 for me).  More free rewards!!!

Really a big save for those not planning ahead for the 6pc Marius missions too. 

I only play the parts I like and ignore the rest, if you keep banging your head against a wall I dont see the point in blaming the wall.

Live arena is crap. Plarium won't admit it but players can. There's many reasons so few play it, since it's introduction matchmaking is a joke,  the time it takes to actually reach the fight stage is diabolical. I could go and start my own riot quicker.

They would get a lot more participation if the mechanics were the same as normal arena, and if they kept the gold bazaar open once you'd hit gold even if you dropped down there would be more movement.  But the main reason my clannies don't bother is the weekly promotions

Add me to those who hate having to play Live Arena. If I wanted tp play it, I would.

I also have limited time to play, and some days cannot play while Live Arena is open.

i agree, why put that quest on the advanced and force players to do something they may not want to do, missing out on that 130 energy, then you got to wait when it is open and win one and if you don't win you cant complete, same thing with the hydra quest, let me do hydra when I want to not when the quest pops up, they need to change that, same with the forge pass, 1 of the quest is to claim all the playtime rewards,90% of the time I play on mobile I don't have to spend 3 hours to collect the rewards just so I can complete the quest they need to revise this quests, especially the clan quest, is old no need to make it extremely hard to get a few coins, collect 3 rare or epic shields, you spend 3 thousand energy and still no dam rare or epic shield, makes no sense. i guess less energy for the F2P!

its the facetime you cant auto the choices unless your set anyhow....and then i personally just hit auto ...but i tell you it sure does get tiring when the idiots obviously are clearly going to win and make take the time to DECIDE what to hit my sliver with in hopes i submit(some BS power play)that has zero factor in the game .......

Not one single person in my cluster has gotten it yet. Personally, I've been getting the 'win' 5 chest about 3/4 days, no book.

So I just hit 50 and have to do this live Arena stuff. My very first time coming to the forum and this is my first post. This is most miserable experience I have had in this game. I consider myself pretty casual, every now and then I buy stuff. I used all of the energy or coins for it and every single match was toxic. I just got my first 2 champions to 60 this week after watching some guides so my team power is not nearly as strong as anyone they pair me against. They literally paired me against people that all have mythics and every single champion is a 60 maxed out. On top of all of this, if opponent doesn't just outright one-shot me; they wait until the last possible moment to use a move when they obliviously can easily end it. 

Live Arena just seems like garbage of a system. I hope it wasn't intended to be this crappy; please do better Plarium. 

IMHO, I'm okay with the Live arena quest, but two changes should be the aforementioned availability and playing (not winning).  One thing I've noticed is that if I lose three straight battles, it gives me the cheesiest, weakest teams available...

I lost three, then the next player up put my maxxed out late mid-game team against a bunch of level 50s...That was confusing.  

We shouldn't have to win.

Sack up, it's one frigging win.  If that is too much, u are casual enough where 1 free refill doesn't matter. 

The fact that anyone feels forced to do critically important content is hilarious. 

Why is it important?

Same reason IT, hydra, 3v3, sand devil, shogun, sintranos are important. 

Continue ignoring content that gives best rewards (for free) while simultaneously complaining about power creep and the game is just for whales is your other option while you stagnate in midgame (aka reddit endgame) is the other option. 

It is another time sink.  Too many battles run 5 mins or longer.
