I hope Wix and Brogni will still work on my all affinity UNM CB team.  Time will tell.  

We can hope, but sounds like he may not have enough shield to reach turn limit, so got to make sure there is enough dps.

He should, he still grows shields the same as before, only it's capped at 1 million.

Once you get to the cap, he'll be topping them back up to full every time he uses his a2

I was using wix in hydra even before the wixica team, he's still one of the best provokers in the game. I'll put him back into the 9 piece protection set i had him in, mischief tank placing protected shields

No, it wasn't a castration. It was a circumcision that reduced him from 12 to 8. 

I think this overeaction is a bit silly - even a nerfed Wix is still very useful, and fits in all sorts of content espeically for people who might not have a stacked roster. 

He makes a pretty good Armanz counter if you give him really high res; that's how I had him built before switching to Wixica

He might not be able to keep up with the damage unless he's growing the shield more than once every 3 demon lord attacks. His growth is based on the current size of the shield. There will come a point where the attacks between his shield growths will exceed the growth he can provide. At that point the demon lord will just keep destroying the shield and Wixwell will lose more and more ground each round. It remains to be seen at what point that is, but we'll know very quickly after this change goes live (or once content creators can test it on the test server).

My CB team doesnt have a strong DPS.  Time will tell.  

Mine neither honestly. I tossed Emic, Wixwell, Lady Mikage, Cardial and Highmother Maud in a team for fun, turned on quick battle and it worked on Hard to Ultra Nightmare on full auto so I said cool and left it alone. I switch in a Painkeeper for the daily quest when needed. 

I could probably switch Cardial for Geomancer and be ok later, but we'll see.

Just a question, why aren't you using Ninja? Especially since you not only have Mikage but also Cardiel? I don't have Emic or Wixwell, so maybe your current team is pushing like 200 mil 1 key UNM or so? 

I'm also confused why you would switch Cardiel out if Wixwell is the one getting the nerf? HH did say he expects Wix's shields to stay viable for UNM. Do you have Pythion? His passive dmg reduction would max out easily with all the buffs you get from just Mikage and Cardiel.

If you haven't tried Ninja with Mikage yet on CB then I definitely recommend it just to see what you think

I just haven't booked my Ninja yet, he's next in line currently. My Cardial is in Merciless and has been amusing me and is currently the only member of the team built for damage. This team does like 120 million on average on UNM, and around 200 million on most other levels. Since it is plenty for 1 key on all 4 levels, I just haven't worried about it. In the end it will depend on if Wixwell will be able to protect the team or not. Worst case is I go back to my old team, if I can remember their beginning rotation.

Wrong, this thread was about how Wixwell teams are now dead for Hydra. Between the sheild drastically being limited and the taunt being useless he has now major roll in Hydra at all.  CB he "might" be useful, but we won't know until it is tested.

But yes, we did go off topic a bit, but still related to the only use remaining for Wixwell and Brogni hopefully. 

I'm fairly certain will work for CB, as for hydra idk.  But the stupid infinite shield stuff was never intended.  Wixwell still has a decent kit, mine will probably stay naked in vault though 😆 

They knew what sheild growth led to thanks to Brogni, to say they didn't intend to make a second champion to do that is just silly. But you already see the point of this discussion,  that for the most part Wixwell and Brogni will now live in the vault and are unlikely to be used much anymore.
