Totally different experience.  Most of my fights are 4-5 minutes long, whether I win or lose.

Doing Live is a 20-45 minute commitment, depending on whether it is 5 or 10.

Well, we currently have different definitions of what "good execution" looks like.  

I intend to finish the milestone rewards all the way to the sacred....unless I actually can't due to the strength of opponents I will face.  

Therefore, if/when I decide to start throwing more fights, it will be quite a way down the road.

I'm doing just fine, don't see me complaining. But thanks for modeling throwing for me, I didn't know how to do it before you taught us hahaha

I don't think there's any need to throw any matches when I'm not having much trouble overall.

I think this got lost in all the noise - I agree with Trevor on this. For example I'm at like 1300, eventually I'll bother trying to go up when I get to the missions, and at that point I'm sure people will be annoyed at facing me. But even at 1300, I'm regularly seeing teams that are absolutely not "easy wins". 

You'll get plenty of easy wins when you've lost a bit, and plenty of tougher teams when you're winning a lot. That's the clarion call of matchmaking that rings true even through the "noise"

This. Though i've been playing sporadically I haven't found matchups for the most part to be too crazy at the 2300 range while at ~70% WR. there are of course the times they have laz, wights and such where I take the L. 

shall see how I feel when I get to Gold, though. :)

That wasn't really my point - I've probably a 90% win rate, I'm not concerned about winning at this level. What concerns me is that anyone who were truly intended to be at this level, is probably going to be quite annoyed at facing people like me.

Is that the case? I do wonder - I certainly am not active by any stretch, and so I fall pretty fast due to just the daily decline. Seems the decline caps out at 1300 points, though - so if I've won 10 in a row, but I'm still at 1300 because of the decline - who am I matched against? Preferentially, people who are also around 1300 and have won 10 in a row?

That does seem to be the case. Or at least it's working in some way akin to that.

It will match me with people anywhere in my bracket though, in fact I see a lot of people 20 points or less below G3. It definitely favors my WR higher than it does anything, when I first got into G2 I was seeing a folks almost 700 points above me.

I do agree that the recent Winrate has to be factored somehow with a decent amount of weight, because the more battles I win, the more likely I am to see teams that I cannot possibly beat. 

On the other hand, when I was in my run of 8 straight losses, after 5 losses in a row, the Matchmaking hooked me up with someone over 5K (I was at about 4015 at the time), and as part of those 8 losses, I fought a player twice that I have never beaten out of 6-8 matches. 

So, who really knows....

I'll get pushed up to g4 eventually, no rush for a 1 time reward.  Kind of like wasting resources rushing to get Marius.  Those people are the real idiots...

Yup, i suspect the 'whales' people are finding in lower silver might sometimes be people such as myself and kram who have ignored live for a long time.

It's a LOT of weight yes. At least in our testing it is. Perhaps that player just has your number but leaves and gets stomped by others. 😆 

Live Arena is frustrating and that's understandable, but ive learned to just take my losses. Though the individuals speaking on "Effort" need to sit down. Who are you to speak on anyone else's Effort put into it? I understand that people are quick to complain about things we may see as common, or part of the ride. 

I've been playing right at a year and have been unemployed the entire time, so believe me when I say I spend 8-10 hours a day playing raid, sometimes more. I spend around 40 bucks a month, mostly on energy so not entirely ftp, so "Effort" is definitely not an issue. In this time I've acquired 11 legendary champions and half of those were freebies or login champs. I still do what I can and make it work but as someone who has spent the amount of time I have, not even talking funds cause I know it's not much on the scale of things. Though when I get to any arena battle, whether it's live, classic, or 3v3 I'm reminded how far I am from a legit arena team. I know a year isn't crazy but when you're playing the hours I am then it seems like things should be progressing different.

The new fusion champion looks to exist just to overcome the go-first teams. I am not going to go for her but I could see using her against a team that uses the witch where you can't save your team through stoneskin. 

Maybe for a go 2nd in 3v3 but I haven't played around with 3v3 myself. But here's the deal. I am just going to sheep arbiter if she goes unkillable and then kill her.
