I know I've been bitten by a snik... rare to see. Guessing never gets banned in live?
Never.They always ban either Wukong or UDK. The smart ones ban my Ursala.
The one that really surprises me is for those that use Ma'Shalled, I counter him with Shammy and they never ban that guy, and then they spend the rest of the match trying to kill him once they realize that he neutralizes Ma'Shalled.
With my go 2nd team it is usually becaused I have WuKong that will pop back up and my rezzer under stoneskin. When I forget to put Snik out though those two wreck my team.
If you have time to get Snik's reflect damage out he will put down most AOE nukers out there because he is reflecting 4x damage back to the attacker. Or at least get them close enough to death that it doesn't take much to put them down.
How it usually goes against aoe nuke teams is that they will attack and Snik's reflect damage will kill their nuker, they will rez their nuker, my WuKong will pop back up and kill their nuker again. Then I just start slowly dismantling their team starting with their rezzer.
Keep in mind I punch above my weight class in arena but I am far far from anything close to a top end player.
My Sniktraak is about 75% done with masteries. I'll have to turn up boil on that and test him out. However, I am not seeing anything in his skills or his passive that suggests that he reflects 400% damage back to a nuker.
Even if his passive increases the damage reflected by all allies (If it is worded correctly, this only applies if THEY place the buff, not if Sniktrak places it), that makes all RD buffs 50% versus 30%, which would only be 200% total damage.
Am I missing something here?
Maybe a Mod could comment on the correct funtioning of Sniktraak's passive increase to RD buffs placed by Sniktraak compared to others?

I meant 4x as in all 4 of your champions reflect back damage. I think it figures out 120% damage returned. Even if I don't get it up often times just the passive will kill their nuker. He isn't an amazing PvP champion but used correctly he has his place. The really interessting thing that happens with Snik in classic is that the AI will sometimes not use the powerful AoE when I have him in my roster.
Back to Armanz. So I finally built this champion out minus a couple of books. This champion is just stupid. I am taking down teams I have no right taking down and they don't even get a turn. You are insane not to ban this guy in live arena.
I know people are saying, "Put on stoneskin"... sure but I just strip your stoneskin and sheep the person on your team that makes the biggest impact and then start in on locking you down.
This champion is easy mode.
Armanz is totally broken - particularly for live arena. Ridiculously OP. Lesser champs have been nerfed in the past. This one champ is enough to make one quit basically - relegates almost 90% of the roster to useless.
Has anyone tried the epic barbarian Atur as a counter? Immune to stun, and puts counter attack on when hit with a crit.

Good Idea. Gotta see if I can get her Res over 500 while keeping her Acc in the stratosphere for SD25.
While i can do 300/700, i cant do that in stoneskin- i dare say whales, and ftp accounts that are 4+ years may be able to do but i imagine the number who can do that to be small. In prot? sure i have nearly 400 speed in prot, but not in stoneskin.
Besides, if you see an armanz in stoneskin, surely you are just going to sheep him?
And how will you do that, prey tell? If you see Armanz, it means you dont have him, and even if you managed to pick Monkey, he'll weak hit, and sheep wont work. And if they have Armanz AND UDK, then Monkey will definitely not sheep him.
The answer to Armanz is full SS team, as lame as that is. He'll sheep one of you then you gotta hope you can work as a 3-man team.
And better yet, just ban the mofo LOL

The problem is is even if he doesn't stun he still steals the turn meter. That is the one change they have to put in with this guy and I think he is ok. If he doesn't place a stun he doesn't steal a turn meter. That way stoneskin and block debuffs blocks this guy.
I do think they need to add gear that stops turn meter based attacks and reseting of cooldowns.

It actually IS fun times in Arena.
Meta completely shaken up. No more year plus of Taras/Marichka being the sole endgame option. Real choices to be made in champ selection, several different effective teams, strats, nukers, and many of them free or fusions with Wukong, Ankora and Armanz.
Just one girl's opinion but this is the best arena has been in two years, since everything went full tank Stoneskin, wait three minutes before you can start playing.
Have faster gear, simple as that. Whether it was just Armanz slowly but surely killing you or it was Arbiter going first and buffing a nuker to kill your team in 1 shot, you were still slower than that player and you would never have won a normal fight with that player. Either way, you lost in the Arena to them. Don't blame a champion when its your gear that is failing you.
