I did it on auto with pythion, aniri (in my duo-with-dreng SD build & masteries), doompriest, gnut and kytis

Yeah I see you all saying that, I really don't understand what I'm doing differently than you guys, but that simply does not work for me. I've tried several variants of that exact type of team, and invariably the team ends up simply getting chopped up by the A1 from dark-form. How exactly are you surviving that?

amius will target (usually? slightly more often than not?) the lowest hp champ.

There's a damage redux for awakening, so have someone with 4+ stars have the lowest hp and high def ( i go for about 40k hp, 4k def)

Mm... so, the four aforementioned champs and then a meatstick. Interesting. Though doesn't the A1 ignore DEF?

Do you have cooldown resets from gear or masteries?  Those get me every time I try to sneak it through.  I wanted to use my 2X Gnuts this time for a speed run, but they both have Cycle of Violence, which procced too often and I got speed-ran by Amius instead of the other way around.  

That's when I went with the 2X Pythion, 2X Brimstone & Venomage team.        

kytis is arguably better than veno for this rotation because he has a 100% chance to place block heal on his a1

You running some champ that resets on revive, or getting tripped up by Reflex gear again?

You literally CANNOT have that gear on when fighting this boss, whether you are auto, manual or anything between. Any resets starts a cascade of single target nukes into sleeps that will often be fatal, especially if your champs aren't mostly surviving the single target nuke.

I'd say my champs survive it "okay" from watching the runs.

Let's talk about why my champs survive the A1 "okay" though, cause his A1 doesn't ALWAYS ignore defense.

As you can see, if you give him a highly awakened target with a little stat tweaking before the fight, you can mostly keep a high defense champ alive when he A1s, allowing you to quickly rotate back to his main form with zero deaths.

We're talking like a 6-7k defense on a 4 star awakening, 5k on a 5 star awakening and 4k on a 6 star. So a defense based champ with lowish HP and a high awakening will smooth out your runs by directing his A1 targeting and they will also survive.

Get rid of your reflex gear, pair that with two revivers or a single reviver that heals well, plus Brimstone with high Accuracy, like 500, and you'll be set.

Hmm. I have a 4 star vrask and Romero already at 60. Could use one of those?

In general, this certainly is a boss that will punish you for skipping Iron Twins and devaluing souls though.. as well as ignoring his mechanics in favor of not regearing out of sets he punishes.

Just make sure you have heal block in place on Amius, otherwise you're healing the boss when you heal your own champs

I am fairly sure this is the first rotation I've used Heal Reduction on him, normally Brimstone + Burn takes care of everything :D

I beleive Rat is specifically referring to using Vrask, which could definitely backfire w/Amius.   

well, both. the only rotation i had a 5* brimstone was the previous one.

6* rowan and 5* Zwhatshername made that one easy for me

I've really just given up... I know I have the champs, but I can't keep changing masteries etc. too m,any resources for an already resource hungry game...

Any healer COULD backfire. Just turn Brimstone up to 11!!

oui, have found a lot more success with amius moving towards blitzing him rather than worrying about heal reduction (and sometimes healers)

that said my roster is pretty stronk for amius most of the time. 

Well, after trying far too many times with Geomancer still in his reflex set, I bit the bullet and just swapped one item out to remove the set bonus, and did it easily enough with Pyth + Vrask + Geomancer + Doompriest + Gnut.

You were STILL running reflex? Lol, so very stubborn 😆
