The best partner for him in hydra would be michinaki right ? (hex and hp burn)

I am thinking about seeing if I can build around this guy with Longbeard and Artak. Not sure if it will work out like I want or not. Although I do have Michinaki that I need to develop and he may be better than Artak. 

What gear are people putting on him? Not sure if I should go with counterattack gear or decrease cooldown gear. Counter  attack will make it so that I am possibly hitting that 6th attack as much as possible but being able to use the A2 more seems like it would be a better option. I really really wish I had a reset cooldowns champion. 

I have him in Reflex, right now.

I think Relentless or Merciless is the play, you want him taking more turns or pile more damage through the usual suspect sets

what's the associated equipment set?

Was hoping R. Blademaster would improve my clan boss, but so far he looks equal to Royal Guard in there. 

A1: "If the target is a Boss, this debuff cannot be resisted."

Does not work on Faction Wars boss. Who I would presume would count as a boss?

So far 3 of the 5 Monster Hunter Champions have been available through Events, is it *reasonable* to expect there will be events for obtain the other 2 in the next 5 Weeks?

Caveat that I along with other mods don't know of any future events scheduled (and technically it's been 5/5 available since Rathalos can only be obtained through the login event):

I wouldn't be surprised if there were something else coming in the next month but again no hard info on anything as of now. As of now it's just those four non Rathalos champs in the summon pool.
