Something unique instead of the same ole same ole junk would have been good. Like complete this where you get both during the event and get a special skin of both of them. Something that actually signifies the work put into the events. 

Does any1 know if you will get the extras so long as you've collected all the frags?  Or do you actually have to open the frags?

From what I saw in a YT vid by one of the CC there was a clarification that you have till the end of the 8th to Summon both to collect. Just getting the fragments doesn't give you the rewards you have to actually summon both champions. 7th starts the CvC so most will probably summon on that, that want the bonus.
