Oh of course. My point is that if you are specifically looking for one specific item, it's far faster to get it through chaos ore than it is through farming.

But a more useful example would probably be just farming for legendary speed set items in general - in which case, rather than 2666 runs, you're talking about saving 444 runs.

Chaos ore is straight up garbage as you cannot use it to pick the stats you want, and its based on RNG.

First off, free stuff is free.  So no complaints.  Second, it's all baubles and trinkets.  Nothing here remotely worth spending on.  The only thing that is even enticing is the new artifact set.  But really, how many items do you have to collect of any set to get a decent set?  

Somewhat disappointed since I was remembering raid pass when you got a leggo that was useful here and there at least to some accounts, and a god-like epic.

Boots can roll with Speed, as well as both percent and flat HP, DEF or ATK. So that's 7 stats there. We are almost exclusively hoping for Speed main stat Speed Set boots.

So really, your legendary boots are 0.27 * 0.075 * 1/9 * 1/6 * 1/7 = 0.00005357 or a 0.005357% of getting Legendary Speed Set Speed Boots.  That's one pair every 18,667 runs.

Even if we want epic or legendary, we are still looking at 0.27 * 0.325 * 1/9 * 1/6 *1/7 = 0.000232. That's a 0.0232% chance of getting Epic or Legendary Speed Set Speed boots. One set every 4308 runs.

If you are looking for something specific, like Epic or Legendary Attack % Speed Set Boots with a Speed Substat, you get even more exponentially ridiculously low chances, cause you take that 0.0232% chance and then have to individually roll 1 of 8 remaining substats across three or four chances.

I didn't want to get that deep into the math - my objective was just to simulate getting another roll on the boot. You can't influence your odds of getting a specific main stat, so all you can do is just try one more time at the same item.

If you do those 2666 runs, you'll on average get a lego speed set boot. It may not be the right primary stat, but you have the same chance of getting the correct primary stat if you use a chaos ore on it.

Yeah, because it's irrelevant. 

Chaos ore is random. It can even downgrade your gear piece by awarding it with garbage stat rolls. Therefore it is essentially worthless.

Think of a new player's point of view. This player cannot do dragon 20, hell, he probably is still struggling to get past level 10 of any dungeon.

So he gets the pass, wins a full 6-star set, with ores to go along. Chances are, half the pieces will get very bad rolls. So he can use the ores, and try to improve at least one of those pieces, and voila, the 4-piece set can now be used.

Is that 4-piece set OP? by a veteran's player's standards, probably not even close, as suggested by the extensive math done above. But for a noob? It sure beats the 3-star life or offense set you're given early, or even the 4-star ones that come not long after.

So, i guess this FP has some value to some people, probably that the values rises for new guys, and falls for old-timers.

Perhaps they felt they could reach enough people with this, and i doubt this forum will be a good indicator of the real answer. With the staggering number of players overall (and maybe 100 of those come here to chat LOL), there's a LOT we dont really know about the player base, isnt there?

I completed the Forge Pass and never received the 6* Instinct artifacts. No, they aren't in my inbox nor are they listed in my Instinct gear.   

I would open a ticket with support. I have not heard of this happening, personally. 

Don't you have to pay for the gold pass to get the equipment?   I  completed level 50 as well and never got any equipment.  I just assumed it was because I didn't pay for the gold pass.

Do you have the Forge Pass? Or did you just complete the event, and reach level 50? You need to buy the Forge Pass to actually get the artifacts.

According to Plarium, you do not have to pay to receive the items, just complete the posted activities. Purchasing the Gold Forge Pass only gives you higher quality daily awards.

Strictly speaking I don't think this isn't true.

To receive the gear, along with the 6* legendary ores, among other rewards (which were on the bottom row) you had to pay for the Forge Pass. Only the top row was free.

True.  I  did  get  the  forge  pass  and  i  have  to  tell  you  the  Instinct  Set  is  fantastic.  I  have  it  on  all  my  higher  level  Characters  and  it  made  a  big  difference in  their  power.  I  found  it  helpful.  Books  are  best  but  i  have  learned  to  save  them  for  clan  vs  clan.  Forge  pass  is  all  gear  related ,  so  if  you're  not  interested in  gear  then  obviously wouldn't  be  for  you.  Please  dont  be  negative  it  is  helpful for  those  who  are  in  need  of  good  gear.  Farming  the  dragon  and  the  others  is  a  waste  to  me,  that  gear  is  trash.  I  would  recommend the  forge  pass  for  those  looking  for  good  gear  it  is  worth  it.  Have  a  good  day.

I buy the Forge Pass for 3 reasons.  

1.  I am f2p but like to spend a little money with Plarium.  Its a great game but they are a business and need income.  

2.  I get a lot of extra Forge materials that I can use during cvc or events to get points and sell for silver.  

3.  I get 50% xp and 50% silver bonus.  Its in increments of 10% so you have to beat the weekly tasks quickly to get to it.  It overlaps 2xp.  Its worth the effort.  

Stopped reading after reading that you consider yourself FTP but like to spend money...

AFAIK you can only use ore on one artifact ones? Maybe if you could try more times, ore would be more valuable to us (me).

If I'm understanding correctly: yes, artifacts and accessories can only be rerolled once with ore.
