Champion Chase tournament only meant for pay to win players???

Hi,

I am playing this game for 1.5 months now and I am an f2p player. I saw this tournament quiet a few times now - "The Champion Chase tournament" and I wish I could win some rewards even though I am not able to win the Top 3.

I was extremely lucky to get a legendary and 1 epic with the 2 sacred shards and 1 void shard I got by progressing (got 4 of them but used 2 already to get 2 epics so I saved for this 2x summoning event).

I now have 2 legendaries (got 1 already from an ancient shard in another summoning event) and I was looking for legendary skill tomes to book them.) Had a few which I used on 1 champion. But it seems like there is no real consistent way of getting these tomes in-game. I found that this tournament and the champion training event are the only place where I can get the legendary skill tome.

This is the screenshot of rewards from the champion chase tournament

i

I would like to know if there are any f2p player who is able to win the top reward. If there are, then how many shards did you guys save for this? and how long did it take to get that many shards?

i

Also this is the screenshot of my progression in champion training event so far...I was using all the energy I could get daily as an f2p player and was upgrading as many champions as I could (farming 12-3 all the time fyi) with that energy...But I dont think I can complete this within the given time  at this rate.

I dont know if any of the other f2p players around there are facing a hard time to win these tournament especially when there are so many of them, or its just me.

If the others as well are facing this kind of issue, then I think there is no point in playing this game anymore because I am starting to feel like this game is made by plarium exclusively  for pay 2 win players and f2p players are not that important to the company.

Now ofcourse there are other tournaments as well where f2p players also could think of participating, but the rewards are of lower tier.

This is just my opinion...I would like to know the opinion of other f2p players with respect to such tournaments and appreciate any suggestions to win the top tier rewards from these tournaments (except for spending money)...!!!

you can get 1 Legend tome each month from Advanced Quest line

as 1 example

Do 40 mil damage to NM CB or UNM CB and your going to get a few Legend  books each month

as example 2

Buy some from Tag Team Arena Bizzare if your team is good enough to get you access

as example 3

all free to play just to mention a few

Yes..I know that...But whats the point of 1 legendary tome when you need like 12 to 21 tomes per champion (with some exceptions)?

It takes atleast 1 year to fully max out one champion's skill, and guess what, there are more champions out there....Does this mean that the f2p players are supposed to play this for their entire lifetime :P ??

Moreover, its not just about the legendary skill tome...But also about the chance to win these tournaments as an f2p player

Thats the point of FTP MMO's in general . Yes, grind to win or pay to play

FTP is just a game  on the backs  of those who pay for the free to play to be here. Quite simply put

How can someone expect to do 40 mil damage to NM CB or buy a legendary skill tome from the tag team arena bazaar if you dont have good enough champions for that?

I will be very frank and honest here

I spent $1000's the first year I played this game to get my account to where it is now

The only good of all that is now that I have great teams to do all the content (still need work in certain areas  of game)

I can finally play the whole game free to play moving forward

I'm FTP and can currently 2 key Nightmare CB for 40 million.  I get the occasional lego book along with the monthly missions.  It just takes time.  1.5 months of playing isn't sufficient to get anywhere if you intend to be FTP.  I've been playing for close to a year now, but mostly only for an hour or so a day at night when I'm making dinner.  The exception to this is if I want to participate in a fusion event.

Essentially it boils down to how you want to approach this game.  If you want to get legendaries and a powerful account quickly, then spend money and support the game.  For me, it was more around having a fun game that I could spend a little bit of time every now and then and see how far I could get

I can understand you as you are basically telling me to pay a 1000 bucks first to make this game a f2p. But sry I am not that rich and thats why I am asking these stuffs.

Guys..Its not about spending more time...I am ready to spend time on this game...I was asking particularly about the tournaments...Now lets not forget the topic please.

If you want to get the top prices in a tournament as f2p, you have to be patient, skip some tournaments and keep your resources. You opnened 2 sacreds and one void, as you pointed out in starting post. You will get a similar amount of that resources from playing the game (quest rewards, daily quests and so on) until the next tournament starts. So you could open the same number again. But imagine you would not have used your shards in the actual tournament. You could open 4 sacreds and 2 voids in the next.

But that's what we are all saying.  The tournaments are built for people who have a lot of resources.  If you have only been playing for 1.5 months then unfortunately you aren't in a position to really tackle these tournaments, unless you want to spend money.  Just be patience and not worry about the tournaments just yet.  If you want to stay FTP, then build your account up and take it slowly

True...Couldnt resist this time :P. It kind of paid off...Got a legendary out of the void...But it requires more legendaries to win the top tier prizes from the tournament...Guess I have to skip tournaments as long as I dont have enough shards to actually get the top tier prize

Who  is  the  void  legendary  you  got?  Also,  there  are  2x  events  for  voids  too.  You  got  extremely  lucky  to  get  a  legendary  out  of  it,  but  just  be  careful  when  pulling  shards  outside  of  their  2x  events  especially  as  free  to  play.

I am ftp but i have been saving resources for an event i liked the look of and went for this one as it has an epic champ available directly from the tournament and i had champs i needed to pull and level anyway, im on 10000 points now so should pick up the books as well before it ends.

As an ftp you have to pick and choose your events to participate in.

Fusions  aren't  meant  for  players  who  are  ona  and  a  half  months  in  the  game.  Don't  be  surprised  if  you  fail,  especially  as  a  F2P.

It  takes  3  mins  for  1  energy  to  spawn

1  day  =  24  hours  =  1,440  mins

1,440 mins  /  3  mins  =  480  energy

You  will  generate  480  energy  as  F2P  player  per  day.

In  addition,  the  game  gives  you  the  following:

1  Energy  Refill  -->  Daily  Mission

1  Energy  Refill  -->  Advance  Mission

50  Energy  ------>  Advance Mission

1  Energy  Refill  -->  Staying  online  60  mins

The  Max  Energy  Cap  a  player  can  have  is  130.

The  Max  Energy  Cap  is  reach  when  your  account  reaches  lvl  60.

1  Energy  Refill  =  130  Energy  (Assuming  you  reached  lvl  60)

3 Energy  Refill  =  390  Energy

390  Energy  +  50  Energy  =  440  Energy

Per  Day  -  your  account  will  generate  480  Energy

Per  Day  -  your  account  will  gain  440  Energy  if  you  do  Missions  &  Stay  Online

480  Energy  +  440  Energy  =  920  Total  Energy

------------------------------------------------------------------

Brutal  12-3  with  XP  Banner  gives  you  8k  XP  points  roughly.

It  takes  3  runs  to  get  a  1  star  hero  from  lvl  1  to  lvl  10

A  1  star  hero  which  levels  from  lvl  1  to  lvl  10  =  9  Training  Event  Points.

It  takes  8  energy  to  do  1  Campaign run.

It  takes  24  energy  to  do  3  Campaign  runs.

920  Energy  /  24  Energy  =  39  Campaign Runs

39  Camapign  runs  X  9  Training  Event  Points  X  3  Different  1  star  heroes  =  1,053  Points

-----------------------------------------------------------------

If  you  use  all  your  energy  given  to  you  in  1  day,  you  will  gain  roughly  1k  Points

The  Training  Event  last  5  days.

1k  Points  X  5  days  =  5k  Points

You  will  only  be  able  to  reach the  Rare  hero  in  the  Training  Event.

To  reach  Epic  hero,  You  have  to  average  2k  points  per  day.

To  reach  Leggo  Tome,  You  have  to  average  3k  points  per  day.

We  said  before  920  energy  =  1k  points

920  Energy  /  130  Energy  =  7  Energy  Refills

7  Energy  Refills  (Free)  =  Rare

7  Energy  Refills  (Free)  +  7  Energy  Refills  (Saved  or  Payed)  =  Epic

7  Energy  Refills  (Free)  +  14  Energy  Refills  (Saved  or  Payed)  =  Leggo  Tome

The  Training  Event  has  been  going  on  for  3  days.

You  should  have  around  3k  Training  Event  Points  as  F2P.

Based  on  your  screenshot,  you  are  close  to  5k  points.

This  means  you  have  2k  points  unaccounted  for.

Did  you  save  Energy,  Chickens,  Gems,  or  XP  Brews  prior  to  the  start  of  this  event?

Or  Did  you  Spend  Money  during  the  event?

You  can  clearly  see  it  is  possible for  a  person  to  acquire max  rewards  as  F2P  if  they  carefully  manage  their  account.

It  all  comes  down  to  preparation.
