The sad fact of Raid in particular but the entire gaming industry in general is that profit comes almost entirely from powercreep. You don't get your customers to spend more money by improving things they already have.
That said, Raid could use a LOT of improvement in making the game more welcoming to new players who have years of catching up to do.
yep, this game like many others is just about building vertically. creep is a foregone conclusion.
i do think the game has gotten better with onboarding - free regear, more strong free lego champs with souls but there's always more that can be done. players just hit the needed levels to unlock content and get thrown to the wolves basically. i do wonder if there needs to be some sort of time, level, combination of factors cap in PvP settings given the age of the game and power creep.
